On a quiet gray evening, Nour sat alone by her window, watching raindrops slide slowly down the glass.

The sound of the rain filled the room… but it couldn’t fill the emptiness in her heart.

Since she lost her closest friend, everything had become dull… even the things she once loved.

She whispered softly,

“Why did you leave me all alone?”

Suddenly… the sound of the rain changed.

It was no longer just falling drops… it sounded like words.

Nour froze.

Then she heard a gentle voice say,

“I’m here… I never left.”

Her eyes widened in shock.

“W-who’s there?”

The voice replied warmly,

“I am the memory that never died… I am the laughter still living inside you.”

A shiver ran through her, but she wasn’t afraid.

She stepped closer to the window, wanting to hear more.

Then suddenly… the window opened on its own.

A single raindrop slipped inside—but instead of falling, it turned into a small glowing light.

Nour reached out and touched it.

In an instant, she found herself in a world of rain and mist.

Everything moved slowly… as if even time was grieving.

And there… she saw her.

Her friend stood under the rain, smiling just like before.

Nour ran toward her, tears falling.

“I missed you so much… I was so scared without you!”

The girl smiled gently and said,

“I never left you… I’m in every moment we laughed, in every secret we shared.”

She held Nour’s hand and added,

“Sadness is natural… but don’t let it take away your light.”

The rain began to soften… and the light around them grew brighter.

“You have to live… for all the beautiful memories.”

Nour felt her heart grow calm… as if something heavy had finally lifted.

Then suddenly… everything disappeared.

She was back in her room.

The rain was still falling… but it no longer felt sad.

It sounded like a song.

Nour smiled, opened the window slightly, and let the raindrops touch her hand.

She whispered,

“I understand now… you’re still here.”

And in that moment… the rain seemed to shine brighter, as if it was answering her.
