When she said: "I love you"

With a curl of smoke still dancing at the end of the gun muzzle, Cassidy Fleecer blinked. The sound of the gun had startled her, and now her mind was starting to tell her things.
"What did you just do!?" it screamed.
Cassidy only swallowed now, the hand holding the gun shaking just slightly. The shot had been so loud, so shattering even after following the sounds of Cassidy and her now-dead husband Klaus Fleecer screaming at each other.
Now though, Cassidy had a bigger problem: what did she tell the rest of the family at the Thanksgiving table downstairs?
