What is a wall but enslaved stones!

A poem/song

If walls could talk, they would sing for you this lovely song, sung by

the VAMPYR, while sitting atop my form:

"Twelve dreams for the Red Queen under crown of stone.

Eight voracious beasts born from eight restless nights.

Four nails piercing the flesh of the sinner.

One prayer for the summoned called by this song.

'Tis perhaps the countdown to oblivion, for the once proud city of London.

'Tis perchance her inhabitants last dance, alone to face death and

pestilence. Confronted by the eerie and unknown, mortals became

desperate for answers. A flock's flight makes for an omen, the falling of

a star a dire presage. Turning to priests for interpretation when there

was no reason to be found. When religion failed, men turned to science. I saw them

build such vain cities, crafting machines made for endless war. New

questions flourished as old answers withered. What is darkness but lurking sun?

What is a wall but enslaved stone? What is glass but tortured sand?

What is song but a call to arms? What is hate but jilted love? What is life but

Death pending!

Since the apple was plucked from the sacred tree, mortality was

believed to be God's punishment. A righteous snare to keep mankind from

ascending to the stars. They were all so wrong. Death is not a wicked thing,

nor some holy retribution. A true punishment would be to never know

it's sweet kiss. Awaken from the harshness and be born once more".

(From Vampyr Video Game 2018).

As a final farewell message from us walls, listen and think on what we have to say.

We watch your lovely lips smile, while the eyes beguile and sum up which version of truth or untruth to spin on a particular day. It is in the eyes that the truth is ever seen. Be careful with the eyes, remember, they are the doorway to your soul.

Rosy painted juicy lips, hopeful puckered lips, angry pursed lips with teeth bared, ready to rip and tear. Still you smile and pay compliments to the horrible and awful. Afraid to say what your heart really wants to lay bare.

You hurt others by not speaking your truth to them. Yes, I know that there are the silly few who would rather continue looking like jackasses rather than hear the truth at an early stage. They do not realize that it is better to look or appear the fool only once, and be told about it, than continue looking or appearing the fool until it is bared to the whole world, to their acute and total embarrassment.

You all find fault in others of your human kind. Yet, the same faults are present within each and every one of you. I see the secret smile, the roll of the eye, the snide comment that you make after you have deliberately misled another.

Sometimes the truth can hurt, or worse. Sometimes lies are necessary, I really understand. The ones I talk of are the little kindnesses that can make a day much better and brighter for someone. Sometimes you can quietly ask if someone minds being corrected or made aware of any faux pas or mis-turn. Some will appreciate, some will take offence, some will never speak to you again.

Pick you friends and acquaintances with care. Choose the ones who are open to life, love, newness, change and the ability to listen, learn and stand corrected. Within them will be found lifelong partners, collaborations, honesty and the temerity to speak the truth no matter what.

Honesty or truthfulness

These are facets of moral character that connotes positive and virtuous attributes.

Such attributes as integrity, truthfulness, straightforwardness, including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying, cheating and theft among others. Honesty also involves being trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere.

Do not ask the opinion of a wall, if you are not prepared for the truth!!!!
