He had made a vow. Under the rose covered arch, red closed tight like a fist, he promised she’d be his final love. The last one. Swore to care for her heart like his own. That her soul was his soul. Even as their tears glistened in the moonlight, he felt doubt try to strangle the words in his throat. Some men just can’t change. Some vows can’t be kept. Here it was, another full moon and a new heart was calling. Wanting to be his. Forever. He stepped into the shadows. Waiting to make a new vow.

    What is life....hearts should be free to choose...who made all the rules...saying we must be tied down forever...we should be free to choose.
