There weren't always dragons in the valley. But those of us in charge of valley security at the CSS knew the exact date the first dragon report came in. Before that date, the political landscape of the Cauzmic Kingdoms was a disaster. Each village was at war with all the villages near it and each kingdom had enemies everywhere.

The only thing that could stop the senseless chaos, was the reports of dragons in the valley. For the first time, the differences worth fighting over for years disappeared. It became the human species against the dragons.

The land was united and put under Cauzmic rule. The land was broken down and dispersed by region. All regions were under one rule but each kingdom had ownership of the land and the villages of its region. The decisions were made in haste to focus on the issue of Dragons in the valley.

With the fighting over and the land united each region and all villages became responsible for protection against new valley creatures. The new Cauzmic land rulers remained anonymous but offered a lot of guidance. The success of ruling the land was easy because it was the only way to keep all humans safe against the threat of the valley creatures.

The Cauzmic Land Rulers or the CLR had impressive plans to protect the human population from the valley creatures. When the plans were executed and successful at keeping the dragons in the valley, The CLR became extremely powerful. CLR then made a more visible organization called the Cauzmic Security Sytems or the CSS, to continue guiding politics.

The results of all of the CLR's efforts were a sustainable protection system against the dragons, peaceful villages, political and societal hierarchies, and the CSS. The small downside was the almost systematic control over all the villagers and even the folk in the kingdoms.

The CSS was used to create a sense of protection for every villager, merchant, and royal. In all kingdoms, villages, and areas the people could count on the local or regional VCAC for all problems.

Every individual felt safe and assured and became distracted by the social pressures of each area. That was the secret genius of the control system the original CLRs created. Social pressure, ideal villagers, and perfect leaders, these ideals drove the entire population.

Besides the outcast of each society, most individuals have completely forgotten about the valley and all the secrets it must contain. The CSS had strict control over the valley entrance and mixed with support from the VCAC leaders of the central villages, the valley was only a rumor.

Children from the central villages were born completely unaware of what existed right in their backyard. Excitable, rebellious youth yearning for adventure suffered in boredom in the central villages, having no idea that a world of wonder and magic existed.

As generation after generation grew old and made room for the next generation, the valley and the history of protection from dragons had become fables of old crazy men!

The CSS kept all evidence and history tied to the secret past of the valley under strict supervision. All the valley had to offer, all the valley came to unleash was held back and crushed by the selfish wants of the CSS agenda.

Even though I was a high-ranking officer of the CSS agency, I could not get access to any information about the valley. Every protocol, every rule, and every handbook, countlessly mentions the importance of protecting the secret of the valley. But there is no access to the very small few agents that get clearance to see and speak freely about the valley.

I had been working my way up the CSS officer ladder for quite some time. At this point, I had become the officer in charge of every officer in all the central villages. I sat on the board of regional CSS agents and received only perfect reviews from each of my superiors, yet still on a "NEED TO KNOW" basis with the valley.

Even having regional access and influence left me clueless about the valley, what was the point of all of my missions. Don't ask me or my superiors, or my superior's superiors, basically don't ask, because no one will tell.

Nonetheless, I effectively, promptly, and neatly handle each of my assignments. I always felt most powerful upon turning in my flawless, early assignment completion paperwork to the central villages. Several agents don't make the trip to hand-deliver their paperwork, but I ALWAYS make the trip myself. I usually walk back with the paper processor and visit the stamp clergy himself at the printing press.

The best thing about the central villages is although appearing to be a merchant class kingdom, scattered with poorer laborers and farmers, it was the historical mecca of the entire Cauzmic Land! The CSS protects most valley information and the rest of the information is stored throughout the central villages.

I love walking through the paperwork districts of the CV and marveling at the wisdom and organization of our ancestors.

I can close my eyes and just imagine thousands of years ago when the ancient central villagers collected all the information they could about fighting, hunting, and slaying dragons.

Learning the history behind the creation of the CLR was the best part of the extremely difficult training at the CSS recruit program. CSS recruit program or CSSrp is a recklessly long psychological challenge to make sure only the best get through to the training process.

It was the worst 9 months of my life and every member who failed to pass and who was not killed was put into a maximum-security prison cell for life. The fear of isolation proved a very motivating force for me and I passed and finished top of the recruiting class.

The end was a test on The CLR and how it was created. The information on that test was not taught in any traditional classrooms or any...
