CHAPTER 39

He stands atop the plateau.

He sees a guy with 2 staff and no shirt wearing torn shorts and another with a cloak and a book staring out in the distance.

“He’s here” says the one with the book

“Oh, Hello there person! I’m guessing you're here since you’ve heard of our training camp! Well we can’t start without 6 people.” says the one with the staffs.

“The name is Blake my pal here is Deruphanus but just call him Deru,”

He whispers to Candy.

Candy is thinking.

He sighs and sits down as he waits for more people to arrive.

They wait over 2 days for students.

Deru walks to Candy and gives him a towel.

“Wrap it around your forehead if someone with the element different from both holders of a casting the affected and the one who looked will die.”

When Candy wraps it around his forehead he sees 4 people come up the mountain.

It’s Alex,Berry,Tsoruka and Eryn.

Candy begins to cry.

He turns away from them in anger.

Deru sits next to Candy.

“What's up?” Deru asks

-CHAPTER 40-

“I feel so guilty I hurt Eryn’s feelings, Almost killed the other 3 and ruined an exposition...I feel horrible” Candy says.

“I understand and I might be the only one who will.”

“Before the game started me and my friend had a picnic and I cooked...He caught food poisoning from something and I thought it was me…”

“But you must forgive and that’s what they did and now you must forgive yourself as well…”

Candy’s eyes fill with tears.

Candy stands up.

He hugs them all and cries all over Tsoruka.

“C-Candy? Get off me bro” Tsoruka says.

“I’m so sorry! PLEASE FORGIVE ME” He cries.

Deru smiles as he watches the heartwarming reunion.

“He’s strong...But kind” Deru thinks.

Finally the last contestant comes.

She seems to be wearing a mini robe.

“Isn’t that a little revealing?” Eryn thinks to herself.

“Umm hi I’m here for training…The name’s Jewel” She says

“Hmm? What's up with you?” she says to Candy.

“I-I have something.” he says

“Blood Moon...Activate, Act 1 Healing Kiss.

She pecks Candy on his forehead.

“There all wounds should be healed.”

Eryn gets furious.

“I’M GONNA KILL HER” Eryn yells.

Berry struggles to hold her back.

CHAPTER 41

The group finally settles for their first mission.

Deru calls them all in for a chat.

“Alright team for our first training mission, we’ll be going to Cordsville in the Rutophian Dynasty.”

Everyone is fired up but jewel.

“Isn’t that place a ghost town? No team has made it out because of the shards there.” Jewel says.

The others already left though and Jewel follows, crawling down the mountain in a hurry yelling “Wait up!”

CHAPTER 42

The team finally arrives in the town of Red Fog which is completely empty besides a couple creatures.

“We can cover more ground if we split up Saii?” Tsoruka says.

Saii is code for Ok or Okay.

Candy jumps into a run down theatre with a mild presence in it.

Candy sees a Hattegan shard.

They begin to clap slowly after a while the person turns around to reveal a crooked smile and stitched face similar to a doll.

Suddenly the door closes and red fog blasts through the bottom of it.

The fog has a strong scent of blood.

He then hears creepy humming of someone singing Ring Around The Rosie.

The lights flicker and Candy runs upstairs to backstage.

There he sees a little boy with red eyes and cat-like pupils.

“Well I’ve come for a show, since Sadime that copy cat stole my place in Aoba I’ll just kill you and satisfy my bloodlust...Let’s end this.”

CHAPTER 43

Candy charges up his sweet savior strike attack but the energy gets cut in half completely.

“I’m not afraid of you, I’m sick of you older people telling me what to do!

Now that I have the Spider and Conjurer Seals I can be stronger!” he says.

“Do this Pedulia! do that! Well you’ve stolen from me, and I’m getting it back!”

Pedulia kicks Candy in the stomach, breaking all of his ribs and tearing a whole in his torso.

“No way I’m surviving this! I need just a little bit more energy.” Candy thinks to himself.

Candy gets dizzy and suddenly faints.

A couple minutes pass and Pedulia gets bored.

Then he hears footsteps.

It’s the girl that sat next to Candy on the Muedo train.

“My name is Everest Yatashki daughter of Utenmeyer Editor of this game. you’ve hurt my friend, for this is a sin in itself.” She says.

“One comes then another, what is this? Groundhog day?” Pedulia says.

CHAPTER 44

Tsoruka,Deru and Alex go inside of a grocery store.

Inside they see another Hattegan shard Juniko number 3.

“Leave...Me...Beeeeeeeeeeeeee!” He says distressed.

“I only need a tiny blood sample and we can leave this town okay?”

Deru explains.

“WHAT!” Alex and Tsoruka yell in Unison.

“Big bro will kill all 4 of us and only the Koegan unit and cousin Sadime will live then..” Juniko argues.

CHAPTER 45

Everest and Pedulia attack.

Everest manages to freeze his foot but he kicks her in the face sending her flying through the wall.

“I can’t heal him, he must buy me 2 more minutes at least...Hang in there cousin” Everest thinks.

Pedulia creates huge dolls that smash through buildings.

She freezes the whole city.

“Holy Ice Cage!” She calls.

The whole city including the others are frozen solid.

Pedulia is shocked and can’t move his feet.

“I will kill you if you don’t heal him.” She says.

Pedulia revealing his number 1 mark on his forehead heals Candy who was literally 2 seconds away from dying.

“Wh-who are you?” Candy asks her.

“The names Everest we're kinda like cousins, sorry about Muedo i was a brat but I’ve matured from training with Tatorin, king of the Palpadorian Empire.

Candy looks shocked.

CHAPTER 46

Blake,Eryn and Jewel are trapped in the motel this whole time and still fail to escape.

“I don’t get it, do you all feel it?” Blake asks the 2.

“Yes this isn’t a game at all but we’re not on earth 100%” Jewel adds.

“What? I don’t get it? Feel what?” Eryn asks.

The two ignore her as they sense a strong presence.

“What is that? Who is that?” Jewel thinks.

After 2 minutes of silence the motel explodes with a burst of air.

Candy appears on the other side in emperor mode.

“I’m tired of waiting, let's go!”

Everyone including Everest dashes out of the city victoriously.

CHAPTER 47

The next day the group sets up camp in Yutonimore village.

During the night Candy wakes everyone but Blake and Deru because of a festival.

“It’s a training session! Let’s show some players who’s boss” he says.

“Why can he not see?We're not in a game but some sort of Dimension…That’s why if one dies they can’t come back…”

Jewel thinks.

The other 6 agree and they step into a huge arena with 4 biomes.

“Welcome to the February games! Today 200 Players will stay in the Grande stadium for 7 days, hurry up and get comfy for those who are watching for all 7 days!”

Yells the Announcer.

“We have 4 biomes as well: desert,arctic,forest and mountains. Now, Without further adieu let the games begin.” He says.

All 197 Players run into the arena.

Candy arrives in the Forest biome with some of the stronger opponents.

CHAPTER 48

He sees Sori fighting a group of teenage boys with massive amounts of Mana.

“I wanna fight too! I’ll tell sugar to use his-”

“METEOR PUNCH” Candy calls.

Candy punches one of the 4 boys, killing him instantaneously.

Sori puts the other 3 in a barrier.

“Incredible! I can’t get over his sensing abilities! He doesn’t even need to see!” Candy thinks to himself.

“Hello again, I think it’s time we finish this,” Sori says.

“No thanks I want our next fight to be more private so for now,” Candy says

Candy adds Sori to his Party.

Sori sighs and the 2 defeat the other 48 players clearing that biome.

“129 contestants are alive! Sori and Candy are killin’ it while others can only get 1 or 2 defeats or kills! This is only the first day people!” The announcer yells.

“It’s almost morning now. We should stay dormant while people are active so we can have an advantage, '' Sori says.

“For now we should hide our mana by encasing it.” He adds.

Candy nods.

CHAPTER 49

In the mountain biome there is a basin with boiling water burning up to 360 degrees fahrenheit.

Alex jumps into the basin.

There he sees someone else who can take the heat.

Pop-star and Cousin Tasha Kieroni.

The two use their firepower to make the water hotter.

The water blazes at over 5 thousand degrees fahrenheit!

The water turns into lava and the two compete in heat, releasing a heat wave killing 89 people and burning Tasha as she admits defeat.

“Truly Alexandre is nothing short of amazing! He must keep up a perfect amount of Mana! Too much and the Lava would feel like an ice bath, Too less and Alex would burn to death.

This amount of control is insane!” the announcer yells

It's night 2 and 10 people remain.

Sori and Candy head to the Desert where Jewel,Eryn and Tsoruka are located.

-CHAPTER 50-

The 5 meet as there are the only ones left in the desert.

Accept one other.

The boy spins his pistols in his hands and spits.

“Well well well, I guess we should reveal ourselves huh?”

He says in a deep country voice.

“I have a prediction, I’ll kill you all with just one bullet each.”

He says.

He shoots the gun and a flash of golden yellow light dashes to them moving sporadically at breakneck speeds.

Eryn traps the bullets in a tree knot attack.

One still flies at Sori though.

In an instant Candy deflects the bullet, sacrificing his left hand.

“Hehe well, good thing I'm a righty!” He giggles

“Why did he save me?” Sori thinks to himself.

“I should've shot 10 times!” He says.

“Listen here ya shrimps the names Samon ya losers!”

He says running away.

CHAPTER 51

With that since nobody fought for 2 days the battle was cut short and the people were released.

“Next time we meet, It’ll be in the arena right?” Sori asks Candy.

“I hope so! And we’re not holdin’ back!” Candy says.

The two say goodbye and when they come back they get urgent news.

“The Koegan unit members have something special about them.

They’re well. The weakest could beat all of the 9 angels with one attack if they wanted to.” Deru informs.

“They must have the 9 Arts.” Alex mutters.

“What’s that?” Candy says.

“There are 9 Arts made by the beta tester of the game and the first player Kogona, He secretly added 9 overpowered scrolls each one adding the properties of a mystical beast” Alex says.

“There are 4 easy ones known as Spider,Conjurer,Chimera, and Dragon

There are 9 more that the Koegans have: Yeti,Siren,Phoenix,Serpent,Golem,Banshee,Vampire,Gargoyle in order of strength.”

“Whoa” adds Everest.

“We also have 2 new students today!” Blake says.

Behind him what looks like a 7 year old and a girl around Candy’s age appear behind Blake.

“The Older one is Lima and the Younger One is Babii”

“Woah! Babii? This is my cousin!” Candy says.

“No time for a family reunion we need to stop those Shards” Alex says

“Compared to the others these guys are whole Caves!” Jewel says.

As the 11 set off to stop their next foe, Soon their long awaited adventure will come to a close whether what awaits is death or victory they are ready.
