Under the stars.

Something to consider.

The days, lingered. Hours past from the breaking of the dawn, until the portion of twilight began. Day by day, a slow vicious repetitive cycle of yesterday carried over to the next day.

“I gaze upon the heavens, and wonder: What’s out there? Something more than us all? Some bigger plot line to a grander scheme? I desire revelation, I yearn for something new! Jakor! Do you think we’ll find anything new?” A young woman asked.

Jakor shrugged. “Nothing is new under the sun. What once was, was already prior. What we will find, has already been long before it’s supposed, ‘beginning.’ Despite us being on planet 0167, nothing is new under the stars, Debor!” Jakor responded.

Debor scoffed as she picked herself up from laying on the grass next to Jakor. “Surely that can’t be! Despite the vast depth of the universe, the boundless depths of space! Creation itself must have something new! The heavens were not made without reason! Surely they were placed with intent! How can you say, ‘Nothing was ever new!’ I refuse to believe it, Jakor!” Debor started debating.

Jakor smiled. “Everything that has been or has yet to be, was already declared long ago! What once was, what is about to be, and what is yet to proceed forward, inevitably, was predetermined long ago! You said it yourself! ‘Creation itself must have something new! The heavens were not made without reason!’ I believe that’s true! They have their purpose, as do the planets, as do we, Debor! Our place in this story called life, an it’s author, taking into account the deeds of mankind, considering our ways, pondering our actions, searching the depths of the human heart. But, it was already decided long ago!” Jakor stated.

Debor became flustered and upset by Jakor’s words.

“So, there’s nothing we can do to stop it? We can’t change the world?” Debor whined.

Jakor sighed.

“You didn’t hear what I said earlier? It’s already been declared long ago! Long before we could consider, before we were in the womb, before we could reason, or ponder what could be, it was!” Jakor declared.

Debor became angry.

“So then what’s the point of learning something new, if everything already was? If it already was, and everybody knows it, what’s the point of learning? I’m upset!” Debor angrily vented.

Jakor smiled as he slowly picked himself up.

“There is one thing that was declared long ago. Something, no one else knows that has yet to be declared,” Jakor hinted.

Debor was angry.

“You say, everything has been declared long ago, and nothing can change that! You say, ‘we can’t change anything,’ so what’s the point of learning something new? There isn’t anything that hasn’t already been revealed because it already was!” Debor vented.

Jakor started approaching her slowly.

“There is one thing that was declared, but has not been made known, yet,” Jakor hinted.

“What could possibly be new if it already was? What could I possibly learn that hasn’t already been declared?” Debor angrily shouted.

Debor turned around only to have her hands being held by Jakor as they gazed into each other’s eyes.

“It’s that I love and need you in my life, deeply, Debor. My life is better when you’re here by my side. Never forget that,” Jakor said as he placed his lips on her forehead.

Debor stood still, then held him deeply as tears started flowing down her face. “If there is one thing I am glad that was revealed today under the heavens, is that you love and care about me, deeply,” Debor responded. Jakor held Debor close, as a green light was seen flowing like an aura in the heavens, under the stars.
