The Gray-skinned figure emerged from a darkened access point, filling Gunnarsson’s sights. His finger itched to pull the trigger, desiring nothing more than to dust another Gray.
“Wait!”
His gloved finger relaxed instinctively at the order. Red emergency lights flickered, and the details of the gray emergency vacuum suit emerged. The survivor couldn’t have been older than a child. Gunnarsson exhaled.
“Survivors flooding down from the compromised levels. 1st Martian Marine division is setting up a collection point,” Zhou said.
They beckoned to the battered survivors.
“Enemy pushing toward life support. Got calls for backup from all units. Let’s move.”
