Chapter 3 The Rise of Warboss Krugskull Ironjaw

Deep in the heart of the jungle, where the undergrowth choked out the sky and the air pulsed with the stench of sweat and oil, the scattered Ork forces regrouped, their spirits smoldering with rage and desire for vengeance. Under the brutal leadership of Warboss Krugskull Ironjaw, they would rise again. A hulking brute of an Ork, Krugskull stood atop the twisted wreckage of a massive Deff Dread, his feet crushing what was left of its shattered armor. His body, covered in crude patches of scrap armor and jagged weapons, glinted with the pale light of a dying sun, but it was his face that commanded fear. His right eye gleamed with a brutal glint, while his left one—a cybernetic implant, cunning and glowing red like the embers of a dying fire—scanned the battlefield with unblinking precision.

Krugskull’s lower jaw, replaced with a rusted, jagged cybernetic contraption, clicked and whirred as he sneered down at his Nobz. His massive hands gripped his power klaw, a terrifying weapon capable of crushing steel like bone. His thick green skin was covered in countless battle scars, each one a testament to his brutal rise to power. And his rage was only beginning.

"Da humie in da shiny suit," one of the Nobz, a hulking brute named Grotfang, mumbled nervously. "He krumped da Dread good, boss. We didn’t stand a chance. Dat humie—he was too quick, too clever. Maybe we need a new plan."

Krugskull’s piercing red eye flared with fury. His patience had already worn thin with these weaklings, and Grotfang’s words only added fuel to the inferno building inside him.

"SHADDUP!" Krugskull’s roar shattered the jungle’s stillness, a primal sound that echoed like thunder. He swung his mighty power klaw, and with a sickening crunch, Grotfang’s skull caved in under the strike. The Nob crumpled to the ground, silenced forever. The other Nobz froze in shock, their eyes wide with fear and awe.

“Any more o' you think you can question me, huh?” Krugskull growled, his voice deep and guttural. His glare swept across the remaining Nobz, and none dared to meet his gaze. “No humie gonna show up da great Krugskull. Ain’t no one—NOTHIN’—gonna stop me from takin’ what’s mine.”

He pointed a thick green finger towards the distant horizon, where the smoking ruins of the Tau outpost were barely visible. The wreckage of a mighty XV8 Battlesuit lay crushed under a pile of twisted metal. A lone Tau warrior in a sleek, shining suit had been the one to challenge him—and now, he would pay.

“We’z gonna get dat suit, an’ we’z gonna tear it apart! We’z gonna make an example of da Guee'besa who dared defy me!” Krugskull’s voice rose into a roar, filled with bloodlust. “No more takin’ prisoners! We’z gonna burn ‘em out! We’z gonna show da rest o’ dem blue-skins who’s da real boss!”

The Mekboyz scurried around the wreckage like ants, their greasy hands quickly setting to work. They were a mix of genius and madness, using whatever scrap they could find to build new war machines—looted vehicles, re-purposed Deffkoptas, and makeshift weaponry. Krugskull’s vengeance would be swift and brutal, a destruction beyond reckoning. His warband was already rallying behind him, eager to follow their Warboss to the slaughter. They would not stop until they had torn the Tau from their hole in the jungle.

The Mekboyz scrambled, welding and hammering, their makeshift machines coming together in a chaotic frenzy. A new Deff Dread would be born from the ashes of the old one, stronger, more vicious. Krugskull would not let another of his war machines fall so easily. His mind already burned with visions of the fight to come—the scream of battle, the clashing of metal, and the satisfying crack of Tau bone beneath his boot.

Krugskull’s lips curled into a wicked smile as he stalked to the head of his forces. He raised his power klaw to the sky, the crackling energy field sparking in the air around it.

“We’z gonna show 'em why Orks don’t lose! We’z gonna show ‘em da pain!”
