1.Lenovo Yoga 9i Pro 16-inch (Gen 9)

I thought Lenovo's Yoga 9i lineup was the best of 2023 for Windows laptops. It boasted an exquisite design, a stunning Mini-LED display, a well-functioning keyboard and touchpad, and strong overall performance with the option to use Nvidia graphics. The prices were competitive as well.

To be honest, there aren't many differences between the new Yoga 9i Pro 16-inch and the model from last year, but that's okay because it was already fantastic. What's new, then? Up to Intel Core Ultra 9 processors and a larger 84 watt-hour battery are features of the 2024 model. It is, in summary, faster than the model from last year and should have a little longer battery life.

Starting in April 2024, the Lenovo Yoga 9i Pro 16-inch Gen 9 will retail for $1,699.99.

2.Lenovo Thinkbook 13x (Gen 4)

The first laptop in the world with a stainless magnesium chassis impervious to corrosion is the Lenovo Thinkbook 13x.

Brand enthusiasts may recall that the business has long employed magnesium alloy to reduce weight and size, but the protective coating needed on laptops made of the material seemed cheap or uncomfortable. Moreover, it supports 6TB of solid state storage and up to 128GB of RAM.

However, the laptop's design merits consideration as well. The big, smooth, haptic, RGB-lit touchpad on MSI's new Titan HX 18 laptop feels and looks fantastic. A mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX key switches is included with that. In addition, it is a heavy laptop with a sturdy design that feels and looks more sophisticated than the 2023 model. Without a doubt, though, this laptop is still a bruiser and should not be used frequently.

With the Omen Transcend 14, HP made a minor debut at CES 2024, claiming to be the lightest 14-inch gaming laptop in the world (a title it lost to the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 in a matter of hours, but nevertheless). It has a light 3.6-pound weight. The Transcend 14 is also rather attractive, featuring an RGB keyboard and an enticing white color scheme.

It has a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and support for variable refresh rate along with an Intel Core 9 Ultra 185H processor and Nvidia RTX 4070 graphics. 5.Asus ROG Strix Scar 18

The Strix Scar 18 laptop display, which I discussed in my overview of Asus' new displays, is a Mini-LED display with an amazing 2,304 dimming zones. The display excels in other aspects as well, having a broad color gamut and excellent color accuracy.

Aside from the display, the Stris Scar 18 comes equipped with top-tier hardware, such as an Intel Core i9 14900HX processor and Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics. Solid state storage can hold up to 4TB, while RAM can hold up to 64GB. At roughly 7.3 pounds, it's a heavy laptop—but that's to be expected from a gaming laptop with its kind of hardware.
