Spooky ghost stories

"The cabin in the woods had been abandon for years, but one night a candle burned in the window".

Never before had there been any people or lights around here. A bit scared, but more curious than anything, the four friends began sneaking closer, ducking behind trees and bushes, that were so thick you could barely walk.

The only noise was the cracking of the twigs and leaves that littered the ground beneath our feet. We all gathered around a huge ole spooky tree, right by the corner of the front porch.

The light shown even brighter, the closer we got. As we all hunkered down to stare at the light Now, we could see shadows moving past the window. Just as we start whispering, we think it must be a hunter here for the weekend.

All of the sudden we heard a loud noise from within the cabin. We couldn't make out what it was, then it happens again but even loader this time. Like something was thrown at the wall, hard enough to come crashing through.

Then the blood curtailing screams started. Screams of a woman being tortured, screams for help, and screams to stop, and begging.

So scared, we all started to scatter in different directions, running for our lives. Then I heard Joey cry out for help. Following his stressed voice, mixed with whimpers of pain. When I got to him, the others had found him as well. Joey had tripped over what we thought was a tree stump and broken his leg. Freaked out and breathless, we tried in hushed voices to quiet Joey, who was reeling in pain.

Helping Joey to his feet, we decided to stay in teams of two for safety. While one stays with Joey, the other two will run to find help.

Which we were about seven miles away from any form of civilization, on some deserted dark back road that leads to some old logging trails, that were part of some kind of abandon hunters cabin property.

The other two lit out in search of help, while I stayed with Joey. After making him a leg splint out of some broken tree limbs and his ole bandana, we headed out in the same direction our friends had taken. Soon we came to a fork in the road. While I was pretty sure we needed to go to the left, Joey got angry and insisted we go to the right side of the path. Trying to walk alone, with nothing more than a long stick I found for him to use as a walking stick for support. I let him hobble about twenty feet. Realizing he wasn't going to change his mind; I offered a shoulder and helped him walkalong the path.

It wasn't long until we could see a silhouette of a house in the distance. For a brief moment we thought we were saved. That is until we got closer and realized we had in fact walked in a big circle and were now at the side of the haunted cabin, were someone had JUST been murdered at!

All at once we hear a huge crashing sound, which kept getting louder, then a THUMP DRAG sound, as if going from one side of the cabin to the other. Making the light flicker each time, with every eerie sound.

Just as we were backing away, scared senseless, the door to the cabin flew open. The light flooded out, we trembled and stilled. A shadow of a HUGE man filled the doorway. Reaching down, the large hand grabbed a handful of a woman's hair and held her up in front of himself, laughing maniacally like an evil scientist. Telling her, " Now you won't run off anymore!"

Seeing blood pouring from both the woman's legs, we realized he had cut off both of her feet! Staring in disbelief at what we were seeing and hearing, adding to my horror, I noticed he had shoes hanging around his neck, with the feet still in them! Like some sort of victory metals.

Just then he sees us! We take off running, I'm trying to hold Joey up and get away. Panic fills the night air, we are running and stumbling around in the pitch darkness, no clue where to run. The wind is filled with the screams from the woman, "I want my feet back".

The terrifying sounds of the man's machete slicing through the tree limbs with ease, as he charges after us. Stumbling along we seemed lost again, but no time to stop to collect our thoughts, with a mad man chasing us and getting closer by the minute. We continued running blindly in the dark of the night, with a chill in the air, adding to our misery.

Next thing I know, we are both falling down a ridge side ravine. Smacking tree limbs, and bushes on our way down the mountain side. Getting all cut up, bones breaking, like the tree limbs we were falling through. Felt like I was never going to stop. Then all thoughts stopped as I smack face first into a tree, breaking my nose and knocking me unconscious.

Waking up in the hospital, seems our friends had found help at a ranger station and their helicopter found us. Pretty broken up, and Joey ended up having both legs broken after the fall.

While laying here in my hospital bed, battered and bruised, but glad to be alive. Reliving the nights horrors, I feel a catch in my throat, and it sends chills down my spine to know the "Feet Stealer" is still out there, I swiftly raise the blanket to make sure my feet are still there!
