"I love you" comes easily from anybody. It is all over the place, too many people talking about love, what it is, what it is not and what it should be. Two people meet and two days later " I think I am in love with you'.
Personally, I think there is a huge misconception of what love really is, it is not the attraction you feel toward a person, neither is it the chemistry and it is definitely not the butterflies you feel in your stomach, finally it has nothing to do with how good the sex is.
A lot of people has something to say when it comes to love, love means different things to different people. Someone once said "when someone ask me about falling in love, I just tell them I am ready to have my heart broken again". This is just one narrative.
So the big question is WHAT IS LOVE?
Love means a lot of things to different people, and while having conversations with some people, I also got to know some of these narrative. Different narrative, different people, but one in particular caught my attention.
A friend of mine Moses Allen once told me "Love is emotions, finding expression in the most selfless manner'' and I couldn't agree less. I totally agree with him.
Love is the action that sustains the attraction, the mystery you unravel to keep the chemistry, to allow just one person give you butterflies. Love is helping your partner, spending time, growing together, working out differences, love is sacrifice, love is understanding. Love is hard.
A lot of people understands this but a greater number of people do not and that is why we see unimaginable "shege" in relationships. Now, understanding what to do and what not to do in your relationship is not dependent on experience 100% because people differ. It all comes down to EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE.
Having said this, lets get right into THIS STUPID THING CALLED LOVE.
'This Stupid Thing Called Love is a collection of different short stories, fictional but inspired by true life experience.
