My name is Julian. I married into a royal and wealthy family.

My nemesis began when I married Philip. I graduated secondary school with no money to continue my education; my parents didn't even have money for me to study a trade, so I opted to join my friend Anabel in the city to hustle as the first child.

When I arrived in the city, I found a job as a waitress at a restaurant and began managing my life by sending tiny amounts of money home to my parents and younger siblings.

Philip, a regular costumer, had been coming to our restaurant to dine almost every afternoon because his office wasn't far from us. I had no idea he had been eyeing me all along, and he liked to tip me every day.

Philip once concealed a piece of paper in his old dirty plate and asked me to come and pack; when I unwrapped the paper, I discovered a note that read: "My name is Phillip, please call me, I have something important to tell you."

I was frightened at first, but I decided to contact, and he revealed his intentions to me, so love journey began.

Philip had one of the most amazing personalities I'd ever met; he was compassionate and caring, knew what to do at the perfect time, and was wealthy; in fact, the relationship was heaven on earth. We wanted to take our relationship to the next level, so Philip proposed, and I said yes. What a dream fulfilled experience.

Our difficulty began when Philip introduced me to his family. After our proposal, Philip informed me it was time for him to expose me to his people, and I was very excited since I couldn't wait to meet with his family. I mean, I've been praying for this day to arrive.

That evening, Philip told me to dress well and look well for him, so I did. I chose a ride to his family's house; all of his siblings were present because it was the Christmas vacation.

They loved me at first, but things changed when the mother began probing me about my history at the dinner table.

She asked who my parents were, and I openly told her their names; she considered for a moment before saying that the names were unfamiliar.

She asked what my parents do for a job, and I told her they are farmers. She then asked, do farmers like exporting food items? I said no, because they only plant in little quantities for family consumption.

She laughed as if I said something humorous.

When she inquired what my qualifications were, I told her 0 level, which is a school leaving certificate.

Julian, or whatever your name is, you do not belong in my family. You are not even worthy of sitting at a table with me and my family; you are supposed to be my maid, not my daughter-in-law. She went on to tell me how she and her husband had used their life savings and effort to train all of their children abroad, including Philip.

She added, "My son will not marry you; I don't need a corrupt seed in my linage."

Philip interrupted her and said, "I don't deserve to be spoken to in that manner. I was ashamed of myself." Julian is a corrupt seed.

Philip's mother shamed me in front of the family members, who stared at me as if I were a ghost. I sat there, puzzled and unable to speak. I wished to escape but couldn't. I automatically lost my appetite.

Philip sensed my mood, so he excused the family and led me out of the home, I couldn't help but cry, I wasn't expecting that at all, none of the family members even tried to stop mom from speaking brutally to me, everyone sat there gazing at us.

Meanwhile, Philip was busy......
