The Wellertellers and Their Nightshade Farm
An Odd Story I Made One Night At 3am

He had drunk less than ten handfuls of the lake's fall before he realized that the water tasted odd. And then he collapsed, for the water was not, in fact water but nightshade poison that came from the Wellertellers house upon Lakefall Hill. He hit his head, muscles still contorted into a sort of odd look of realization. Crimson blood pooled and washed away, unlike his body which simply got tangled on the many rocks like some kind of fleshy dam. Mr. Wellertellers wife, Mrs. Wellerteller, watched from above, her thick neck very much resembling an overstretched accordion. She ran inside to tell Mr. Wellerteller what she had witnessed.
"Well perhaps we should stop the nightshade farm afterall." He said.
"Perhaps we should, or at least move it away from the lakefall?" She replied.
"If only we could, but I'm afraid that's our only source of water for the farm." At this statement Mrs. Wellerteller paused to think.
"Well then we can't do anything about it, can we?"
"I'm afraid not"
And with that the nightshade farm stayed put.

A little time later, perhaps five or so days after the untimely death of the man by the river under lakefall, the mayor of nearby Shroomville came to visit. He took a look around the forest clearing, and the mostly deserted town of None. He followed the river that split None into twins, east None and west None, up north until he came to lakefall. The Mayor of Shroomville was pretty tired and thirsty after walking for what seemed like an eternity [which it wasn't, it was only a few minutes], and so he decided to drink from the lakefall. Upon his tenth or so handful, he too dropped dead and was flushed down the river little ways until he got tangled upon the rocks with the bony remains of the one before. Mrs. Wellerteller, who was again sitting on Lakefall Hill saw the whole thing happen and went to tell Mr. Wellerteller yet again.

Meanwhile, the people of Shroomville were growing impatient waiting for their Mayor's return. The Shroomville guards decided to go looking for him. They asked the people of the neighboring village None but alas, no one answered. And so they followed the river little ways up before coming to a halt as they found their Mayor: dead and being nibbled on by fish. The guards kept going, up the hill and towards the shoe that rested on top.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"We really do need to do something about that nightshade farm!" She exclaimed as she opened the door to their shoe-shaped house.
"And why is that?" He asked.
"Why, the Mayor of Shroomville just drank from the lakefall and died too!" As soon as she said that there was a banging on the door. Then it burst open, the mushroom guards of Shroomville filing in and surrounding Mr and Mrs. Wellerteller in their kitchen.
"You have been accused of killing our mayor, as his body was found near your house. Your sentence is public execution. IMMEDIATELY!!" And with that, Mr. and Mrs. Wellerteller were marched out of the house and into the middle of None, where a small crowd of shadowy black people with red glowing eyes[the remaining folk of None] were now standing. Behind them was a circle of tall mushroom people. And in the center was a dead tree stump and a large mushroom person dressed in black. The Shroomsecutioner. He wielded an axe. Mr. Wellerteller was pushed to the center first. He fell, and the guards pushed his head onto the tree stump, holding it in place. With one swift motion, Mr. Wellerteller was two pieces: a body and a head, both covered in blood. Terrified, Mrs. Wellerteller collapsed crying and mourning her husband's sudden death, but not for long as she, too was forced to put her head upon the tree stump for execution. As the axe fell on her head, her neck elongated to half the size of a giraffes and grew thicker than an elephant's trunk on steroids. Mrs. Wellertellers neck grew legs and two little wings that carried Mrs. Wellerteller into the sky, away from the villages, and she was never to be seen again.
