Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Oliver Kat was once a little boy who dreamed of being a space explorer. He worked as hard as he could, but for what? To get lost in space? For he and his crew to starve? Yeah right he wanted that. The mission and crew depend on- Suddenly, a voice breaks Kats thinking.

“Captain!” said 2nd Lieutenant Jonah. “There's an incoming galaxy, should we go off course?” The six members (including Jonah) stared at Kat.

There was a moment of silence in the cabin then, “Yes Lieutenant.” Kat murmured. The whole cabin cheered, they were saved! Lost in space for five months! Saved! If only they knew that, three days later their cheers of joy would grow cold.

“All I see is a bunch of icy planets,” said one of the sergeants.

“Yeah, are you sure this is the right galaxy?” asked another.

“Yes, Sergeants, it is the right galaxy.” said 2nd Lieutenant Jonah Barton. Jonah stepped away from the window and turned to Kat.

“What should we do sir?” Jonah whispered.

“I will get in the scout ship, and scout that one planet there.” Kat whispered back. Kat then looked at the others and screamed “Sergeants! Corporals!”

“YES SIR!” they all turned, and shouted back.

“I am going to that planet right over there!” He pointed to the planet they were looking at; “Torrez, Mark, and Susan, you go and man the controls. Cally, you go call D.C. (there was a location to go to for the military, that's why they couldn't be rescued when they were not in a galaxy), and Jonah, take charge of the craft while I'm gone.”

“YES SIR!” they all replied back and saluted, then they all scattered to their positions.

Kat ran to get his armor on, a white colored metal that covered every inch of the body, each piece had to be put on individually, and he headed to the scout ship.

“Open the exit ramp for ship one.” he said on the mic in his astronaut helmet. Then the ramp opened. And Kat stepped inside the ship. Then he stepped into the cockpit of the ship and he turned on the navigation and strapped in, closed the ramp, and turned the engine on. “Detach ship one, over.” Kat said on his Mic.

“Copy. Detaching ship one, over.” said the control crew.

Suddenly, the ship detached, Kat first turned on engines one and two. Once clear of the ship he turned on engines three and four. Since engines three and four are bigger engines, could not be ignited near the ship, or they would blow at hole in the side of the ship, and everyone would be sucked into space and die, except Kat. Kat headed for the planet. But then a big chunk of ice, or some sort of rock hit the wing of the ship. He then realized that the fuel tanks were inside of the wing. The wing exploded in flames.

“Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!” but his calls were too late, as he crashed on the icy planet. “Craft 68, Do you copy? Over.” He pressed a button which opened the exit ramp. He went to the back of the ship where there was a holo-screened map. He tried finding out what planet he was on but there was nothing. The only thing that was documented is that there was a big space base in this galaxy. To his demise there was also a big blizzard which wiped out the people that inhabited this planet and the military left the space base.

“There should be nobody here. But there should be a radio tower if there was a civilization here.” Kat said to himself. He then spotted a mass group of figures in the distance. He ran to get a box of rifles. He opened it and pulled one out, and went down the exit ramp, ready to defend himself.

Then he saw the figures, they were unarmed and they were, “Penguins?” said Kat. What were penguins doing here? They all stopped before the exit ramp, and the leader of the group stepped up and said,

“Hello being from another galaxy.” Kat was super confused. This didn’t make any sense. How could penguins get here?

“What’s digging dog?” Kat said for comedic relief.

“Huh?” The Leader said.

“Figure of speech.” Kat said.

“Well, whatever that means, Welcome to the Village of Cassador!”

“Is there a radio tower here?” Kat asked.

“The… What?” The penguin said.

“Four metal rods that come together with a ball looking thing on top.” Kat explained. “Ohhh, yes.” replied the penguin.

“Is it functional?” asked Kat.

“Yes, I think so,” said the leader.

“Take me there.” stated Kat.

“Ok, why?” inquired the penguin.

“Because I need to get in touch with my crew.”

“Ok.” said the penguin leader. Kat, the penguin leader, and the 200 penguins walked to the radio tower, which was 5 miles away. Kat and the leader walked in, but guards kept the rest of the penguins out. Kat turned on the machine, and it worked! He then switched to channel 52(the channel his crew was on) and put on the headset.

“Hello?” he said. A couple moments later someone from the other end replied, “This is craft 68, who are you and what is your business?” Kat jumped for joy! He was saved!

“I’m Oliver Kat, soldier 662590, Company C, a Captain in the U.S. Space Explorer force.”

“Sir! we heard no answer after you said ‘Mayday’, we thought you were dead.” explained the soldier.

“Well I’m not dead, can I speak to the Lieutenant?” Kat requested.

“Yes Sir, one moment please,” said the other end.

“Sir, this is Lieutenant Barton,”

“It’s nice to hear your voice, Lieutenant.” replied Kat.

“Thanks Sir, now what is it that you want to speak to me about?” asked the Lieutenant. Kat remembered, “Did D.C. decide yet?”

“Yes, Sir, it was unanimous, the military will be on the planet ‘45’ , your planet, in 2 weeks.” remarked Barton.

Kat asked, “Ok, what will they do, again?”

“They will claim the planet and use it for food and weaponry production,” explained the Lieutenant.

Who will run it? The penguins? Kat worried. “What about the Penguins?”

“What Penguins?” said Lt. Barton.

“Yes Lieutenant Barton, Penguins, here, they can do many things humans can, like talk,” said Kat.

“I guess so, are you being serious?” said Lt. Barton.

“Would I want to be court marshaled?” asked Kat.

“No,” said Lt. Barton.

“Exactly. Well, see you in 2 weeks. Over.” said Kat.

“Ok. Two weeks. Roger that. Over.” Barton said as Kat turned off the radio. He thought about it- the U.S. will use the penguins for work, and have them on wages as low as $0.01, so they will be overworked and underpaid. And I-Wait! I can stop this! I need to give them my rifles. They can peacefully protest but have the rifles just to send the message a little quicker. I have 2 weeks to train them to use it, I can do this!...
