It was a crisp autumn evening and the leaves had just started to change colors. The air was cool and the sky was painted with shades of orange and red.

It was the perfect night for Halloween, and Sarah was excited to go trick-or-treating with her friends. But as they walked through the dark, deserted streets, they noticed something strange.

Every house they passed had the same decoration - a sign that read "The Taste of Blood." Sarah and her friends laughed it off as just a silly Halloween decoration, but as they continued on, they couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

The group finally arrived at a large, old mansion at the edge of town. It was surrounded by a tall, black fence and had a sign that read "The Taste of Blood" hanging above the front door.

Despite their initial hesitations, the group decided to go inside.

As soon as they stepped into the foyer, they were greeted by a strange, sweet smell. It was a mixture of iron and sugar, and it was so overpowering that Sarah felt lightheaded.

She looked around and noticed that the walls were covered in what appeared to be dried blood. Her friends were starting to panic, but Sarah couldn't look away.

She was transfixed by the red stains on the walls and the strange, metallic taste in her mouth.

Suddenly, a figure appeared from the shadows. It was a woman dressed in all black, with long, stringy hair and a pale, gaunt face. Her eyes were black and soulless, and her smile was razor-sharp.

"Welcome to my home," she said, in a voice that was both sweet and sinister. "I've been waiting for you."

Sarah and her friends tried to run, but they were paralyzed with fear. The woman began to circle them, her eyes gleaming with hunger.

"You want to know why I have this sign hanging on my door?" she asked, her voice dripping with malice. "It's because I have a taste for blood."

The group screamed as the woman lunged at them, her sharp fangs bared. But just as she was about to sink her teeth into Sarah's neck, she disappeared into thin air.

Sarah and her friends stumbled out of the mansion, their hearts racing and their breaths coming in short gasps. They couldn't shake the taste of blood from their mouths, and they couldn't explain what had just happened.

Years later, Sarah still had nightmares about that Halloween night. She never spoke of it to anyone, but she was always looking over her shoulder, afraid that the woman with the black eyes and razor-sharp smile would come back for her.

The Taste of Blood became a legend in the town, and every Halloween, people would tell the story of the young trick-or-treaters who had the misfortune of coming face-to-face with the bloodthirsty woman.

But no one knew the truth about what really happened that night, and Sarah took the secret of The Taste of Blood to her grave.

Years passed and the story of The Taste of Blood became nothing but a distant memory for the people of the town. But one Halloween, a group of teenagers decided to explore the old mansion in search of a thrill.

They had heard the legend and wanted to see if it was true.

As they entered the mansion, they were greeted by the same sweet, metallic smell that Sarah and her friends had experienced years before.

They followed the trail of dried blood to the back of the house, where they found a door with a sign that read "The Taste of Blood."

The teenagers pushed the door open and stepped inside. What they saw defied all explanation. The room was filled with shelves upon shelves of old, leather-bound books, and in the center of the room was a large table with a crystal goblet filled with what appeared to be blood.

One of the teenagers, a curious young man named Jacob, reached out to touch the goblet. But as soon as his finger brushed against the liquid, he was filled with an unspeakable hunger.

He couldn't resist the urge to drink, and before he knew it, he had drained the entire goblet.

The other teenagers watched in horror as Jacob's eyes turned black and his skin became pale and gaunt. He turned to face them, his razor-sharp smile spreading across his face.

"You have no idea what you've done," he said, in a voice that was both sweet and sinister. "You've unleashed the taste of blood."

Jacob lunged at his friends, his black eyes gleaming with hunger. But before he could sink his teeth into their necks, he vanished into thin air.

The remaining teenagers stumbled out of the mansion, their hearts racing and their breaths coming in short gasps.

They couldn't explain what had just happened, but they all shared the same taste of blood in their mouths.

From that day on, the taste of blood haunted them. It consumed their thoughts and controlled their actions. They became creatures of the night, stalking the streets in search of their next victim.

And every Halloween, people would tell the story of the teenagers who unleashed the taste of blood and became something beyond human.

The mansion was never disturbed again, and the taste of blood remained a mystery. But some say that on Halloween nights, if you listen closely, you can still hear the sounds of laughter and screams coming from the old mansion at the edge of town.

And if you're brave enough to venture inside, you just might get a taste of blood yourself.
