The Spirit of the restless cursed Princess

“let’s go a few hundred years back, when Kings and Queens still ruled. In a far away land, there was land, the land of King Sujon. He was a great leader, but with great leadership there came many conspiracies and enemies. But there was a particular enemy who despised the King for which when they were young, the young King accidentally offended him.

But the king didn’t know that this enemy of his was a witch. For years the witch has been planning for the perfect plan to get revenge on the king.

Though King Sujon was a great ruler, he had a strange sleeping habit. In the castle there were 7 bedrooms, where 2 of them were for his sons, the princes. While the rest of them for him. Each night he slept in a different room, no could predict on which room he might sleep in on which day. The king couldn’t sleep in the same room for 2 days in a row.

Since it was unpredictable of when and where the King will sleep on which day, getting revenge while he was asleep was almost impossible.

The king and queen always wished for a daughter, but couldn’t have one. Everyone thought maybe it was some of the bad effects left by of the time when the King accidentally offended the witch. Around that time false superstitions were very common. It was like someone made up a random superstition and everyone would believed in it. The King and Queen never believed in it. But soon, when after years of waiting they had no daughter, the King and Queen almost started to believe it, when suddenly out of the blue, during a regular health checkup of the Queen, the doctor found that the Queen was expecting a child, it was a girl. Everyone was shocked and thought it was a miracle.The King was overflowing with happiness.

Months passed by. Summer came and left, winter came and left, spring came and left and finally in autumn the princess was born. The princess looked extremely beautiful and graceful. The King wanted to throw grand ball for the celebration of the birth of his daughter, and so he did. But one person was not invited, it was the witch. The witch did not take it too well, she was furious, “why wasn’t I invited?!” Well the reason was so obvious that even the witch knew herself why.

On the day the royal hall was full of people. One by one came and praised the beauty of the princess. The witch was not allowed inside, so she watched from afar. She now knew, getting revenge on the King will be hard, but getting the revenge of the King on his daughter will not be too hard.

Years went by. The princess grew up to be a beautiful and graceful lady. She was obedient and smart, full of energy and a soft heart. Her brothers loved her very much and always took care of her. She grew up mostly under her two brothers care.

For years the witch was observing her to come up with the perfect plan. And so she did.

The witch had a son. She instructed her son to go to the castle and work his way to become the knight of the princess. And soon he became the most trusted knight of the princess.

The witch’s initial plan was to make the princess fall in love with her son, and when her son betrays the princess and she will be left heartbroken, the witch will curse her. But the witch did not except that her son will not even have the slightest feelings towards the princess. “Well I guess it will be much more easier for my plan to succeed” the witched said with a wicked smile on her face.

It was seen that often the princess would go out along with her most trusted knight, the witch’s son. But she didn’t know that her most trusted knight was the witch’s son.The princess started falling for her knight more and more day by day, perfectly falling into the witch’s trap.

One day she finally confessed her love towards the knight. Though the knight did not like her, due to his mother’s instructions, he went along with it. The princess thought, “finally I found my Prince Charming!” But the naive princess didn’t knew the nightmare that was heading toward her.

It was a sunny day, cold breeze all around making the atmosphere cool and relaxing, but this day turned into the most darkest day of the history of the kingdom.

The knight without a heart told the princess that he didn’t not like her at all straightforwardly. Which made a hole into the princess’s heart. She was heart broken, “Our relationship was fine, but what happened to it?” The princess cried profusely, she locked herself in her room for days.

This was great chance for the witch. And so she did take it. When the princess was in her most fragile state, the witch put her most awaited curse on her. A curse that would ruin the kingdom forever.

This curse took all the joy and happiness of the kingdom, making it a dull and a dark kingdom. Ever since then, out of the 7 rooms, that 1 room was always left untouched and abandoned.

And soon the whole kingdom became an abandoned site.

The princess was cursed to be locked in her room even after her death her spirit will forever haunt the castle. But her death will not be fast one. She will die slowly, it may take month or years, till then she will stuck in her room. Only when she is dead, her spirit will be able to leave the room, but will never ever be able to leave the castle. Her spirit will forever but stuck, and roam around the castle.

The princess now roams around the castle, forever looking for a way out or be free. When visitors come to visit, sometimes they can hear her cries, or see her spirit still looking for a way out.

Ms. Sally: “That’s the end.”

Milli: “I feel bad for the princess. She didn’t deserved that!”

Kaitie: “Yeah! Poor princess..”

Ms. Sally: “What can we do? The princess suffered for her father’s mistake.”

Amy: “I wish the princess had a happy ending. But is this story real?”

Ms. Sally: “ I don’t know.” She smiled.

Jake: “I want to visit the princess! Maybe we can help find her way out?”

Ms. Sally: “Sure, you can try later. Now kids go to sleep, you have go to school, remember?”

Amy: “fine..”

Kaitie: “Goodnight!”

Ms. Sally: “Sweet dreams kids. You can save the princess in your dreams..”
