The Silent Witch, the Less Than Becoming and God

Micro Fiction Writer's Challenge Entry

The silent witch bent over her plaything voodoo doll like it was an ornament becoming a product of energy. A motionless subject of imagination but her magazine said about affirmations and together with ancient goddess of Nowhere her little ritual begun. Intentions clear, to kill her classmate she had been bullying for over a year. She harumphed and harangued and her and the doll head banged to a heavy metal song. Wax of the candle melting all along.

God looked down from Heaven saying, "I don't think so," the room filled with light and all evaporated. End of story.

And hear was I thinking. I see where this is going! No! Wrong … Microfiction is a new genre for me. I’ve been exploring writing but have very much enjoyed the reading of. I read on my iPhone and am always surprised to read ‘below the fold.’ Old graphic design teacher speak! Pauline 🌸

  • I was shocked at that twist! So unexpected! Brilliant!

Oh wow, I did not see that ending coming! Great work :)

  • An excellent microfiction with a perfect finale

  • Every once in a while, the Divine decides to intervene in a most spectacular way. That classmate must be somethin' special! (Either that, or the witch was, lol.)
