The Sea Turtle Dreamed
A Micro Fiction as Told By Oracle Cards for Fun
Turtle dreamed of Nature’s blessings: insects, trees, seas, and life.
Visions of terrestrial life; a butterfly riding on a monkey’s back. In the monkey’s bug-infested paw, it carried rusted keys.
A bear invited panther to spend the day with him; to groom each other’s bodies and grow their waning bond.
Skyward, the raven and the eagle soared calm, sighting all. The raven saw the turtle laying eggs on the beach.
“So many young, you do bear,” exclaimed the raven, awed.
“Few will survive the journey down this beach,” turtle’s reply.
The keys fell from monkey’s infected paw; Death laid claim.

Megan Baker (Left Vocal in 2023)
A fun spin on her last name, Baker enjoyed creating "Baker's Dozen" lists for various topics! She also wrote candidly about her mental health & a LOT of fiction. Discontinued writing on Vocal in 2023 as Vocal is a fruitless venture.
