Every night, at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. No one knew how or why it happened, but everyone in town gathered on their rooftops to watch the celestial spectacle.
One night, while the people were watching the clouds dance, a strange personage appeared in the central square. He was a tall, thin man, dressed in a dark suit and a top hat. His presence caused a murmur of uneasiness among the locals.
The man walked slowly towards the center of the square, where he stopped in front of the fountain. He raised his arms to the sky and began to sing in an unknown language. The purple clouds, which were still dancing in the firmament, seemed to stop for an instant to listen to the voice of the strange character and then began to dance.
Suddenly, something impressive happened. The water from the fountain began to rise into the air, forming a giant sphere that floated above the man's head. Inside the sphere, a magical scene could be seen: a garden full of flowers of all colors, a rainbow fading into the horizon, and a small crystalline lake.
The villagers were amazed at the spectacle. Some were afraid to approach the stranger, while others came closer to get a closer look at the sphere of water. The man in the dark suit reached out his hand toward the sphere and touched the surface of the water. At that moment, the sphere opened in two halves, revealing the magical garden inside.
The stranger invited the villagers to enter the sphere and explore the garden. At first, many were afraid to do so, but eventually, some were encouraged and entered the sphere. Once inside, the visitors discovered that the garden was a magical place where the laws of physics did not apply. The flowers changed color and shape constantly, the butterflies had crystal wings and the dragonflies moved through the air without moving their wings.
The man in the dark suit took them through the garden, showing them every nook and cranny and explaining the wonders to be found there. He told them about the history of the place and told them it was an ancient garden, created by wizard thousands of years ago.
The villagers were transported to a dream world. They forgot their fears and worries and let themselves be carried away by the magic of the place.
After a while, the stranger told them they had to return to the real world. They all left the sphere and found themselves back in the town square. They looked at the man in the dark suit, but he had disappeared.
From then on, the town changed. The inhabitants became more cheerful and more curious. They gathered every evening in the square to watch the dance of the purple clouds and wait for the arrival of the man in the dark suit.
As time passed, the man in the dark suit kept visiting the village, bringing with him new magical objects. One night he appeared with a fan of colored feathers, which when waved in the air, generated a fresh and soft breeze that filled the atmosphere with an intoxicating aroma, on another occasion the stranger appeared with a magic wand that made the plants in the garden bloom in seconds, filling the place with an explosion of colors and fragrances.
On another occasion, he arrived with an ancient book with golden letters on the cover, which he said contained spells to attract good luck. The villagers took turns reading it, and some even borrowed it for a few days, to try to attract prosperity into their lives.
The stranger kept bringing magical objects to the village, each time more surprising and fascinating than the last. But one day, the man in the dark suit disappeared without a trace, as did the purple clouds in the sky. The villagers searched for him everywhere but found no clue to his whereabouts. After several days of searching, they found an envelope in the central square. Inside the envelope, there was a note written by the stranger where he explained that he had to leave to take magic to other towns and cities.
Upon seeing this news, people realized something was missing in their lives. There were no longer magical objects to marvel at and the excitement they brought with them had vanished. The town became a drab and gray place, and people began to feel empty.
Sadness took over the streets and squares of the town. People did not know how to fill the void left by the stranger with his magical objects. Conversations were no longer as lively as before and the children no longer ran through the streets with such joy, the days passed and the sadness became more intense.
One day the village children were bored in the park when they found a bright purple pencil. They were surprised because they had never seen such a beautiful pencil before, they decided to take it home and start drawing. They soon realized that every time they drew with the purple pencil, the clouds in the sky began to move and dance with the same joy as when the stranger in the dark suit had visited the village.
The children became excited and began to draw non-stop. With each stroke of the pencil, the clouds moved more and more, forming figures of animals and objects that the children imagined. Joy and excitement filled the village again and soon, the adults began to realize that the clouds were once again dancing with the blushing sky.
As the days passed the purple clouds covered the entire sky, creating a beautiful show of lights and colors. The villagers gathered in the square to admire the spectacle,
The children were very happy to tell the adults that they had brought magic back to the village using the purple pencil but when they went to look for it they did not find it and instead there was only a pencil like any other, instantly they realized that the magic did not come from the pencil but from themselves.
The villagers began to discover their own magic, they discovered that they could create beauty with their own hands, they began to make wonderful gardens and sing songs full of hope and joy, that they could make music with their voices, and they could make love blossom in their hearts.
Thus, the children of the village became the guardians of magic, creativity, and imagination became the key to keeping it alive. From that day on, the village children continued to draw and create, making sure that the purple clouds never stopped dancing in the sky again.
