The paradox child
“Born outside of time, destined to end it.”

Chapter 1—The Wreckage
The research vessel Erevos stumbles upon a derelict shuttle drifting in deep space.
The shuttle carries a registry number from 50 years in the future.
Inside, they discover a single survivor: a boy, no more than six, with silver eyes.
Chapter 2—Before & After
The boy speaks in fragmented riddles: “I am before. I am after.”
He manipulates technology effortlessly, accidentally solving scientific equations centuries ahead of current knowledge.
Strange time anomalies ripple through the ship whenever he cries or panics—crew members briefly see memories of events that haven’t happened yet.
Chapter 3—Fractured Futures
Ship logs mysteriously update themselves: the Erevos is listed as “destroyed—cause unknown.”
The crew begins arguing: is the boy a weapon, a savior, or a paradox that should not exist?
Dr. Kieran forms a bond with him, convinced he’s still just a child who needs protection.
Chapter 4—The Echo War
The crew learns of a future timeline where humanity faces extinction in a war with unseen forces.
Fragments of data reveal the boy is central to that war—either as its destroyer or its savior.
The boy himself begs them: “Don’t let me grow up. If I do, I end the sky.”
Chapter 5—The Choice
Time begins collapsing aboard the ship: doors open into events that never happened, and crew members encounter older or younger versions of themselves.
The boy’s paradox is destabilizing reality itself.
Kieran realizes the truth: the child exists because the Erevos once chose to keep him alive—and was destroyed for it.
Chapter 6—The Paradox
Kieran faces the impossible decision:
Erase him now and potentially erase the war—but commit the murder of an innocent child.
Protect him and risk repeating the loop that dooms the ship and the universe.
As time collapses, the boy whispers, “They’ve already chosen… in another timeline.”
Epilogue—The Loop
The Erevos is reported missing; its final log is corrupted.
In deep space, a future shuttle drifts once more, with a small silver-eyed boy inside—waiting to be found.
