(An old man sitting alone)

The old man sat alone on the park bench, staring out at the pond. He had lost his wife of 50 years just a few months ago and was struggling to find meaning in his life. Suddenly, a young boy approached him and handed him a colorful origami crane. "My mom taught me how to make these," the boy said. "She said they bring good luck and happiness. I hope it helps you feel better." The old man smiled, feeling a glimmer of hope for the first time in weeks. He looked up to thank the boy, but he was already gone.
