The noodle shops, the people

I was born in the north, so noodles have always been my favorite food. Also, because the face is very realistic, just like the northern Chinese.

When I was a senior three student, there was a "Bing Bong Noodle restaurant" not far from the school. I always wondered whether it was because the boss had a dream of being a soldier, or it was because he had been a soldier and recovered. Of course, that's not the point. The point is that this noodle shop is our most important gathering place on weekends. The boss of the noodle shop is a very simple and honest young man, not tall, big round face plate, black, smile especially silly, give a person feel very kind, every time we go to a group of people he is particularly enthusiastic, before the college entrance examination when we go to eat noodles the boss also a strong to give us refueling. At that time, the study was very hard and the pressure was great, so we went out to watch the game together, which became one of the best memories of that time. Each of us had a bowl of "pull noodles" or "Chuang Chuang noodles", and we sat at a round table, staring at the TV. Whenever there was a game, we always had passionate cries or boos, which became a highlight of this noodle restaurant. We always raise eyebrows. Many years later, some of us will still get together there. We are still at the same table, eating "pull noodles" and "Chuangchuang noodles", but instead of passionate cries and sighs, they are lamenting the time and things have changed, and looking forward to the future.

I went to college in the south, but I couldn't eat good noodles all the time. Found that suddenly eating noodles has become a more extravagant thing, not without noodles to eat, but not the hometown of the face to so cool. When I was a freshman, a "Northwest Noodle Restaurant" opened next to my school, which made me excited and became my frequent haunt. The restaurant is arranged like most noodle restaurants in Shaanxi: there are square tables with round stools, a pot of vinegar on the table, a bowl of spicy oil, a chopstick holder, a glass counter with drinks, cola and other things, and some cold dishes. Even the layout looks comfortable and intimate to me.

In our Shaanxi province, eating noodles with chili is special. It's a dish of chili sauce. We're going to take the red peppers and dry them, and then we're going to put a little oil in a big pan, and we're going to choke them again, so they're not dry, they're crisp, and then we're going to put them in a mortar and we're going to mash them, very nicely, like flour. Then put in a small bowl or small basin, with a splash of boiling oil to the top, accompanied by the sound of "piercing", a smell of fragrance. Some will also put some cinnamon or aniseed in it, the taste is more "channeling". I think in the south, the chili pepper is an important indicator to distinguish whether the noodles are good or not. If the chili pepper is filled with a lot of chili seeds or even that kind of bought chili sauce, the noodles will not taste as good as there. I've always been able to do that.

Back to the noodle shop, the owner of "Northwest Noodle Shop" is from my township party in Weinan, Shaanxi. The noodles he makes are much more delicious than those in other places, and each bowl is very large, so I often introduce my classmates and friends to eat noodles in Northwest noodle Shop. I often bring people here when I invite them to dinner, and once they eat, they'll come by themselves. Such as Jia Nan, Mei Fang, Chao Chao, Yong Ming, these are my past. I and a few buddies often come to this noodle restaurant to eat noodles, the most point is fried noodles and fried sliced noodles. Kai Zi, Xiao Mi, Xing Zai, Yajun, Yafei, Xiao Pang, we often go there, of course, for different reasons, Yafei and I are from the north, we like to eat noodles, besides, it's really good. I think it tastes good. Starboy basically went with us. There was nothing to like or dislike. One of the most important reasons Kay likes it is the size. Portion size was then an important indicator of our choice of restaurant. But Kay was the best at this. Whenever we went to eat food together, Kay would yell for rice as soon as a peanut was served. Another friend, Xiao Fang, has always been not very fond of noodles. Every time we go to eat noodles, he either refuses to go or eats noodles. But finally, when he took the postgraduate entrance exam, God even jokingly transferred him to Lanzhou. Since then, Xiao Fang has been swimming in the ocean of ramen.

At the end of the sophomore year, Northwest Noodle Restaurant had a new owner, who was also from Weinan, Shaanxi Province, but the taste was worse than before and the portion was a little less. Besides, in order to save money, the owner bought the bituminous coal, which made people's chest uncomfortable when they entered the restaurant, and then changed to anthracite. Overall it was good, but we didn't go as often as we used to. Of course, there is another important reason to go is that there is a "bridge rice noodle" on the opposite side of the noodle restaurant.

After senior year, we went even less. No one bothered to go out. Yong Ming and I will eat together, although he is Jiujiang people, but still more proud of this. And Yong Ming is in the association to know, people are very good, I and the class of brothers in general chat are east and west, very happy. And Yong Ming will talk about some relatively serious things, recent experiences, feelings and future plans. When the fourth year is about to graduate, we are busy taking the postgraduate entrance exam, busy playing, busy looking for a job, busy taking the civil servant exam, busy taking the national exam, what kind of things are available, and the opportunity to eat noodles together is less and less. It was not until the last period of time that there were more potluck parties. Four-leaf clover and Chengdu Restaurant became frequent places. No one thought of Northwest Noodle Restaurant any more, leaving me to eat out by myself occasionally. The last time we had dinner together was at the Four-Leaf Clover. Kai Zi and Xiao Fang were as tough as ever and ate a pile of rice. I and Xiao Fat were going to leave. I thought it would be like TV wailing and tears streaming down my face, but TV is TV and it's not like reality. We just couldn't bear to part. I looked back at the Northwest Noodle Shop and it was out of sight.

Work to Shanghai, that noodles eat more is not a taste, sweet not razi, is not used to eat. There has never been a noodle shop that can taste familiar noodles. My high school friend Xiao Ke came to Shanghai later. Of course, we spent a lot of time together. He is one of those people who would get angry without steamed buns and noodles. So tell you, no matter what kind of hotel, small restaurant or hotel, he will first ask "do you have steamed bread, the big kind?" "So can Guomai." "Noodles or not, wide noodles." Even if you eat hot pot first have to see there is no noodles, no noodles on the first steamed bread. No steamed bread, two cakes first. Later, small science on their own to eat noodles, usually nothing love to do oil spilled noodles. I don't know what it tastes like, but it looks so-so. I didn't know how to do it at first, but I learned it with Coe. The most important thing is that it not only tastes good, but also looks good. My friends in Shanghai can come over and taste my cooking.

Whether there is noodles to eat or not, it is always not as good as the taste of the noodle shop in my memory. Because the noodle restaurant contains our laughter, full of our memories. I don't know whether the "Northwest Noodle Restaurant" is still there or not, whether the boss is changed or whether the business is OK?
