The Lady in the white, fuchsia stool

By Jesshh RusselPublished 9 days ago 3 min read
A young woman who wonders everything that has happened to her since enrolling in a school...

That day, Maria was packing and getting ready for school after two months off. Since it was only her first day of school, she chose her fuschia pink sling purse and retrieved her bottled container of fresh orange juice that her older brother had made. Maria was thirteen years old. She isn't very thrilled about starting high school because she still misses her elementary school lunches, which consisted of steamed chicken wings, baked potatoes, and toasted bread from her father. After school, her father used to pick her up. However, attending a high school is not the same. Her brother is an intern at an aviation business, and her father is an electrician who works long hours and only returns home every fifteen days. A year ago, her mother succumbed to leukemia. Then she told herself to take a stand. She enters the freeway and waits for a taxi. She arrived at the school at exactly 7:30. She had no idea how her life worked in this type of school when she walked through the gate and took in her surroundings. She was enrolled in a private school, which was a high-class institution in their city despite its rather dated buildings. She noticed a woman sitting in a white pink bench near the molave trees in the school's garden. The woman was wearing a white dress with a brown coat and a book next to her. The woman smiled at her, and Maria impulsively moved in the direction of the woman.

"Are you a new student here?" the woman questioned. Maria said, "Yes, I am."The woman then gave her another beaming smile. "Are you a teacher here, Miss?" inquired Maria."

"Yes, I was," a reply with teary eyes. As for me, I train vocals. A few tears slipped into her eyes. "This school has a choir, which I headed, and a quarter where pupils sing in a very wonderful song I composed. But later that chamber became a grave for them". Maria was going to offer the woman a sympathetic shoulder touch when the bell rang. Along with the other students, Maria raced to her classroom. As she prepared to go into her room, which is located in front of the garden, she realized that she had never said goodbye to the woman. She then turned to check behind the garden, where the woman is seated, but she didn't see her, and she was surprised because there wasn't a bench there. Shutting her eyes, she considered the possibility that she was dreaming because she couldn't find a bench in the garden. She went into her room and took a seat after that.

She noticed a spot near the window that was empty, so she glanced around the garden once again in the hopes of finding the bench where the woman is sitting. After that day, she kept on wondering about the lady and the bench where she sits.

On her two weeks of routine as high school student she didn’t find herself going with friends. During lunch break, she decided to roam around the school since she only enters her room and directly goes home after school. The school has three and five storey building. Before she choose which building she will climbed up. Her feet led her to the entrance of a locked door. She recalled that she passed three staircases while walking blindly, indicating that the room she is in is on the third floor. She never noticed professors or pupils in the area. The location was in a quiet area. She regains her senses and experiences some mild cautiosity. Eventually, the door was secured with a thick rubber tie and locked. She moved toward the room and laid her head against the door, completely out of herself. She heard a band play out of nowhere, then she heard voices. She can tell that there are more than two or three individuals singing in the space. She hears the voices for around thirty seconds until they abruptly change to a different tone and really hit her ears. Between her two ears, she experienced discomfort. She took a step backward and covered her ears...
