She walked into the book launch, rushed, hot and bothered. It had been one of those balmy summer mornings, and a hot wind had picked up as the day progressed. She would have stayed home, if not for promising her beautiful daughter she would attend in her place.

As she entered the room, she was relieved it was cool and she could see a refreshments table in the far corner. Not having eaten much today, she made her way over and selected a croissant and glass of wine. Turning quickly, she smashed straight into him, spilling her wine down his front.

Mr Navy Blue suit stood in front of her, eyes dancing with amusement, a smile forming on his full lips, as he began to remove his tie. Doing his best to dry off. She was flustered and he was most definitely flirting.

"I'm so sorry", she blirted. "If you wanted to talk to me you could have just said hello. No need to throw your wine at me". He responded laughing. "I'm Marc, and really it's fine. You are?" "Cassie, my name is Cassie, and again I'm sorry". "Well Cassie, I think this means you will have to sit with me now".

The energy between them was electrifying. Every one of her senses was on high alert.

They moved towards the seats. He was talking in a smooth foreign accent, and she was completely lost in his words. Her body reacting in a way it had not reacted in a long time. Does everyone look this damn good in a navy suit, she pondered to herself. They took their seats and he was telling her about his work.

He was looking directly into her eyes, and his were like dark chocolate. There were small crinkles in the corners as he smiled and his smile lit up his face. "Cassie your eyes are so blue, like looking into deep blue pools". She was about to speak, when the launch started. As they turned in their seats, his leg brushed hers. She felt a charge jolt through her body. It was undeniable. Magnetic. Sexual.

She stared straight ahead, but she knew in that instant, that she was in trouble. A good trouble perhaps? She would have to wait and see.

She could hear the presenter speaking, but she had no idea what they were saying. She was too busy holding herself together. She felt his presence like it was enveloping her. She could feel the warmth radiating from him and her mind wandered to his bare skin. Oh my what would his bare skin feel like, she thought. She admonished herself from such thoughts, but his closeness and this chemistry was tantalising her very essence. Surely he felt it to.

Everyone began to move about, and make their way over to the author and a signed copy of the book. They were still sitting there. Marc spoke "I have to rush back to the office, but can I take you to lunch this week Cassie?" She nodded and said that would be lovely. They exchanged numbers. Their proximity to each other, obvious to any outsider, that they were in their own bubble of attraction.

Maybe lust, maybe more. But get close enough and you could feel the burn.

He stood to leave, with a promise to make lunch plans. He touched her hand and she knew she wanted to explore him. He brushed his lips across her cheek and with a gesture of goodbye, he left the room.

She stood there for the longest moment, feeling that longing, deep within her. Her body alive, alert and the desire was coursing through her, for the exotic foreign man, in the navy suit.

He stood outside for a moment, catching his breath. His body fully awake, with a yearning, a craving for the beautiful blonde woman with the deep blue eyes.

It was the mystery of the unknown, and the spark of electricity that set them both on fire. The moment they collided.
