The Mist Highway

In Eastern Europe, there was a person named Aleksandr. He was middle-aged and had a job with good income.

One night, he was driving home from work when he saw a mysterious figure standing in the highway. It looked like a woman wearing a wedding gown just standing there with no emotion. Aleksandr was frightened a drove away quickly.

At home, he called one of his friends and told him what he just saw. His friend just said: "Oh, you were just imagining, nothing to worry about". Aleksandr started to feel weird. His friend was acting weird also.

In the end, Aleksandr just took a shower and went to bed like normal, not thinking much about what has just happened. He slept peacefully through the misty night, not as scared as before.

When morning came, he took a shower and changed his clothes as normal to go to work. Before twisting the doorknob of his house, he got a call. He picked it up but the person on the other side was not saying anything. He thought nothing of it so he just went to work.

In the evening after he finished work, he remembered he had to drive through the same route as the day before, but he wasn't that scared anymore.

There was something weird about his behaviour. Aleksandr is a person that is easily scared and can't even watch a horror movie without pissing his pants. This was really unusual for him to act like this.

When he was about to drive onto the highway, a car crashed into him. It was a grey car driven by an old lady. The old lady apologized and Aleksandr just didn't think about it that much. They called their insurance companies and parted ways.

At home, Aleksandr went to sleep like the day before, but this time he never woke up. Turns out, he had a dream about an old lady on that same highway holding a kitchen knife, about to stab Aleksandr. He got onto his car and drove away, but something was in the way. There was a barrier and somehow, the old lady was about to stab him again. Aleksandr tried to do everything he could but nothing can save him.

Aleksandr was stabbed in his dream and never woke up in real life.
