The Misplaced, The Lost, and The Gone
100-Word Microfiction by Jaclyn Barrows
These were the great minds of old, lost to time. It showed in society’s fall from grace. Even the art was either hidden away, stolen, or destroyed, and what replaced it was ugly. The same held true for solutions to problems—the “solutions” sought to further milk the problems instead. All for the sake of ill-gotten gain. All for the sake of stroking one’s ego. All for nothing but ugliness.
A friend of mine found that it was better to struggle to the end of a work that was difficult. The best works are an adventure never to miss out.
