The Miller

Millie was the apple of her family's eyes. Determinedly tagging after four big brothers, a sweet princess (at last!) for her parents. Precocious and bold, secure in love.

Until: Glass shattered, masked figures swarmed, shots reverberated. Amid scenes she couldn't bear to recall, blood she could never un-see, screams resounding forever in her ears, harsh words cut: "Leave the girl, she wasn't involved."

She was left.

...alone.

Her family...

Gone.

Millie shut down. Crawled into the gaping hole of their absence.

Grief hardened into rage. She would grind her family's foes to dust.

Millie trained hard, and donned a mask.
