The Mermaid Queen Lucia had finally inherited the throne, her father, King Fred, was retired. She liked being queen and did not want to get fired. But she was extremly bored. Nobody cared that she commanded a large horde. Her army was massive, the ocean was hers. But she still needed something more, maybe some land furs.

The queen cast a spell, she gave herself a pair of legs and went to the surface, which she’s done a few times before. She traded rare sea gems for cash, and went looking for something to do.

She started with a shopping trip. She bought herself items they didn’t sell in the ocean. She bought a red raincoat, water proof paintings and some candy. She was still bored.

She bought a horse to travel around on. She loved riding horses the last time she was on land. This time is was less fun. She was still bored. So she went to the race track and signed up to be a jockey. She cast a spell to forge all the documents she needed, so they let her race. She pretended to be behind, but sped up her horse with magic so she’d win the race. She won, but still desired to have more fun. She collected her prize for winning and left.

“Hey look up,” a voice shouted. She looked up and saw her husband falling to the ground with a parachute on.

“How did you get to the surface?” Queen Lucia asked.

“Same way you did. I saw you leave and cast a spell,” he said.

“Smart. You went from merman to human. You still look good! That looked fun, can I try?” Queen Lucia asked.

“Sure, come with me,” her husband said. They got in his car and put the horse in the back. He took her to a small landing strip covered in small private planes.

“Where did you learn to drive?” Queen Lucia asked tentatively.

“I asked some humans how they learned to drive. They told me to go to driving school,” he said.

“How do we go parachuting?” The queen asked.

“We start by getting into an airplane. That one is ours,” the husband said and pointed to one of the airplanes.

“I hired a pilot before. He was good so I’ll call him again to see if he could take us,” the merhusband said.

They hired the pilot and took the horse with them, and they’ve all jumped out of the airplane together.

Queen Lucia pulled the parachute for the horse, then the queen and her husband pulled theirs.

“This is amazing,” Queen Lucia shouted.

“I know, right,” her husband shouted back.

“Thank you, Greg,” Queen Lucia shouted.

“You’re very welcome,” her husband shouted back.

They landed safely and gave each other a hug.

They were walking back to the car and someone tried to mug Greg. Queen Lucia turned the robber into a goldfish and ate him. She giggled, and Greg laughed.

Queen Lucia was almost satisfied.

“I’ve heard legends of Bigfoot, we must see if they’re true,” Queen Lucia said.

Greg nodded and they drove to the woods. They parked and took the horse with them exploring.

It was getting dark and they set up camp. “Maybe we’ll find him tomorrow,” Queen Lucia said. Greg shrugged and they stared at the stars until they fell asleep. The horse woke them up with ‘nay’ sounds and Queen Lucia got excited thinking it was Bigfoot. It was just some hungry growling wolves. Queen Lucia turned them into rabbits and sent them on there way.

They woke up the next day refreshed, and took a bath in the lake. Bigfoot was there bathing too.

“Nice to meet you, big guy,” Queen Lucia shouted. Bigfoot started throwing large boulders at them.

“Time to go,” Greg said. But before they did Queen Lucia cast a spell to make Bigfoot nice and able to speak.

“Sorry for throwing rocks,” he announced at the peak.

“You’re forgiven,” Queen Lucia said.

They drove to the ocean and parked there car. They dove in the water, with people staring from afar.

They turned themselves into mermaids again and swam back to town. They had fun on their adventure, but it was back to ruling with her crown.
