An expert in bowing and scraping educates others in the same way.
Code is everywhere. They groomed them to be mammies. They had the attire: black and white dresses that maids wear, wide and unsexy, came to them.
The Mammy Whisperer could not wait to address the crowd.
“You are all tasked to be servile and attendant to the families you are assigned. You will show yourself to always be of good cheer and be a tool for someone to grieve on for the rest of your life.” The women, mostly black and Latina nodded their heads slowly.
“You will be a constant source of simple wit and understanding of others’ problems.”

Some say I've got a God complex. That I'm narcissistic. I am better than a lot of other people. Egotistical, maybe, but true. I'm the best in my field. Things that bother other people don't bother me. Blood for instance. OK, not many surgeons mind that, so not the best example.
