Anguish was all I knew. I wiped my face to hide the evidence. My heels echoed in the gallery’s hallway. My eyes were captivated by a painting. A divine couple’s hues blending. Their auras merging creating a purple universe.
“This is my favorite piece that I have created.”
My body tensed. His voice activating vibrations known in my DNA. I turned to the artist and watched his face. Enamored. His head turned towards me, a smile upon his face. My eyes moved from his lips to lock with his eyes. Enchanted, I saw my salvation.
