Once there was a salesman,

Who traveled door to door.

It was his personal mission

To sell lightbulbs to the poor.

He met an old man

Who had no lights at all,

So he tried to sell him a lightbulb,

And the old man tried to stall.

A few hours later, tired and worn,

The old man was quite kind,

"It isn't that I can't afford the light,

It's simply that I'm blind!"

Let this be the lesson to each one,

As we go about our day,

If someone tries to tell us no,

Then get out of the way.
