"This was the last cursed creature." Zeria says to herself.

She gazed at the humanoid deer. Black liquid spilled from it's mouth. Black blood soaked the forest grounds. She looked at the stormy grey sky. If this was the last one, then how come people are still sick?

There wasn't much Zeria could do for the powerless. Mages were immune to such illnesses, and yet every other mage in the world died at the hands of the cursed.

She started a nearby fire and roasted some peanuts. Her white hair spilled over her dark brown arms, and her white eyes reflected the flames she was staring at.

"If I cast a spell to cure everyone's sickness, then my mana heart will destroy itself." She whispered.

There is no one else to regulate her mana heart. It's either she sacrifices herself and restore the world to it's original state of purity or use an ancient book and transport herself into another realm.

Zeria snacked on what little edible food she had. She lit the cursed creature on fire before heading elsewhere. She came across a village that was deserted. She walked amongst the dried out plants and dusty houses. This part of the southern region had less rain then all the other regions.

"Is anyone here?" Zeria asked.

Nothing.

So she turned back.

A young child approached her, tugging on the bottom of her black dress.

"Miss." The girl said.

She was tiny and frail. Wide hollow eyes and bones sticking out. Zeria crouched down and smiled at her.

"Hello." She said.

"Hello." The girl replied back.

Zeria took out some dried mango out for her to eat. The girl took it with happiness nibbling on it.

"Oh thank you!"

Zeria watched the girl twirl and eat. Her childlike aura making her feel sweeter than usual.

"Where are your parents?"

"They're over here!"

The little girl pulled her hand to a cemetery at the very end of the village. Graves of eight people with dried flowers and vines hanging around them.

"What's your name?"

"Uta." The girl smiled.

Zeria glanced at the latest grave, the name of "Uta Sora."

The girl smiled, "You're very kind miss!"

Zeria looked ahead. There were people moving in the shadows.

"Am I?"

The girl nods, licking her fingers.

"Yeah you gave me food! Anytime I asked someone they told me to get lost!"

Zeria ruffled the girls hair.

"Food is scarce. There are people who are selfless and there are some who are selfish. The good ones will always have something to share."

"Like you!"

Zeria giggled.

"You're too innocent."

"Uta!" A woman called out.

At the end of the graves a thin woman called out. Her eyes just as hallow as Uta's. As well as the many others that called out to her with a warm smile.

"Oh I have to go! Will I ever see you again? When I call out to people they just don't respond." She pouts.

Zeria crouched down and gave the girl a hug.

"Perhaps we will. If fate allows it."

"Promise?"

Uta stuck out her pinky. Zeria smiled, wrapping hers around Uta's.

"Promise."

Uta runs along to her family and all the villagers seem to disappear into the forest. Zeria looked at the stormy sky. Nothing changed. A calamity was still going to approach.

Zeria teleports herself to the largest tree in that forest. Ahead for miles there was nothing but corpses and lifeless energy. Even if some people were to survive, her spell would only work for the people.

"There would be no plants and animals." She whispered to herself.

So thus, she came to a decision. She took out an ancient book and set up some candles by a cave. Reading out loud chants and hopes to the universe. This was her last spell.

'"Let there be peace amongst the survivors and let the next realm be habitable for every species that roam it's terraqueous."

The candles slowly blew it and a portal opened up at the cave. It's blue swirls signified something new. She stepped forward, book in hand and took a deep breath.

"May everyone experience peace and reincarnate in this new realm."

And with that she stepped into her new beginning.
