**The Last Message**
She stared at the screen, waiting for his reply. He was online, she could see that. But he didn't type anything. Maybe he was busy. Maybe he was thinking. Maybe he was gone.
She typed again, hoping for a response. Anything. A word. A letter. A dot.
Nothing.
She felt a surge of panic. What if something happened to him? What if he was in danger? What if he was dead?
She called him, but no one answered. She texted him, but no one read.
She cried, but no one heard.
The last message she ever sent him was: "I love you."
