THE INDIVIDUALS VS. JEFF BEZOS:

Fourth term president Jeff Bezos and Vice President Mike Bloomberg reside over a post-labor America that is socially and economically efficient, yet completely reliant on a piece of technology called the Vector.

An impending storm capable of knocking out all electricity could put the entire nation's well-being, safety, and mental health in jeopardy.

Will America rise to action and survive the fallout of the storm or fall victim to a system created by power, money and propaganda?

THE INDIVIDUALS VS. JEFF BEZOS is a ten part novel sequence of dystopian short stories, each using a different communication channel and showing how easily they can be susceptible to propaganda.

The story examines the problems created by utopian solutions to real world problems and how those solutions can create greater problems than the problems they were intended to solve and keeps the country's systems and systems in a consistent cycle of failure.

From education to politics, to media, to science, it will discuss how our inaction changes our actions in unintended ways.

Each story adding a layer of context to the story's meaning, the novel sequence will contain:

STATE OF THE UNION:

Jeff Bezos delivers his 16th consecutive State of the Union address to the American people speaking on the success of his presidential career and a former scientist warns of an oncoming storm capable of knocking out electricity in a global scale.

THEN: The History & Education Network

The History & Education Network gives every student daily access to six hours of quality educational programming. Children will enter a virtual world of learning and fun with two hour blocks of their favorite shows: Science with Interplanet Janet at 8, History with Main Street USA at 10, English with Wishbone at 12, and Math with Little 12 Toes at 2.

To Infinity and Beyond

An Amazon News Special Report broadcast anchored by top news vector Bed Burrow with the vector news team discusses the State of the Union address, the storm rumors, economic updates, national and entertainment news.

The Individuals vs. Supplanter

The televised trial of Desdemono Supplanter is a eight day star studded event that dives into the story of a NASA scientist gone wrong. With high paid lawyers, national coverage, a jury of 300 million, and no lack of twists and turns the court proceedings become a circus.

After the trial, a survival guide to the oncoming storm is leaked to the public. The guide contains tips and advice for surviving the storm and its aftermath.

War of the Worlds

A notorious conspiracy theorist podcaster and Youtuber weighs in on his thoughts about the oncoming storm and related events leading up to it. Viewers comment, like and share providing their own opinion, information and perspective.

Cue The Power!

As signs of the inevitable storm become apparent, some people start to prepare for the worst, selling legislative shares, stocking up on supplies while others immerse themselves in distractions putting their full trust into the system.

Survival of the Unfit

With no power many citizens must communicate and work collaboratively for the first time in decades. Citizens must find a way to cope with their new reality.

Dear Diary

Journal entries of several different American citizens, provide different perspectives on the things that are happening and how those things are affecting them emotionally and mentally.

Big Things. Start Small.

Bezos plays a game of monopoly with his four kids. During the game they discuss the best way to play the game and why, in essence representing Bezos' successes and failures as president and in life.

I would like to thank Vocal Media and Unbound for creating this challenge pushing me to push past my creative limits, do the research and finish what I believe is a great story with their heart-shaped locket challenge.
