The Hope of Peace

A celestial being's folly

By Jacinth RysePublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

Comprehension seeps through the being of pure Sound as they enter the perversely silent, ruby chamber. Hope of parlay with the dragon deity wanes with their strength as the chamber seals, devouring their essence.

The end trudges on as extemporizations of what may have been pulse through Soë's mind.

One last bid for peace. Soë implores Daathi. "Don't tell Fië."

The chamber swallows their crystalline, soprano voice before it shakes. The only evidence of Daathi's rumbling laughter. His mind whispers to Soë's as it fades. Fië is next.

A wobbly moan serves as Soë's only reply.

Fië, forgive him.
