The Headless Horseman
A Micro-fiction Encounter with the Headless Horror of the Moors
So it happened one dark, stormy night; isn't that always how it goes?
We crossed a haunted bridge that night, when suddenly we heard hoof-beats approaching.
We turned to look, curious; a horse was coming upon us fast. In an instant our blood ran cold - twas the horseman on the swiftest, blackest steed!
All fled back across the bridge, none daring to look back - we could hear them closing in!
Something smacked the bridge behind us, splattering us with goo; the headless horseman's makeshift Jack-o-lantern head!
We ran until our cars came into view; covered in pumpkin goop.
