Emily followed the sound of Elizabeth's voice, her heart pounding in her chest. She had no idea where the ghostly woman had gone, but she was determined to find her.

As she walked through the darkened hallways of the haunted house, Emily felt a sense of unease wash over her. The strange noises had grown louder, and she could feel a sense of malevolence lurking in the shadows. She knew that the other spirits in the house were not friendly, and that they would do anything to keep Elizabeth trapped within their walls.

But Emily refused to be deterred. She had come too far to give up now.

As she turned a corner, Emily saw a faint glow in the distance. It was coming from a room at the end of the hallway. She hurried towards it, her footsteps echoing through the empty house.

As she entered the room, Emily saw that Elizabeth was there, waiting for her. The ghostly woman looked sad, but also relieved.

"I'm glad you found the book," Elizabeth said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But there's still one thing left to do."

Emily nodded, feeling a sense of determination wash over her. "What do I need to do?" she asked.

"You need to break the curse," Elizabeth said. "The spirits in this house have been keeping me trapped here for over a century. But with your help, I can finally be free."

"How do I break the curse?" Emily asked.

Elizabeth gestured towards a candle on a nearby table. "Light the candle," she said. "Then say these words: 'I break the curse that binds Elizabeth to this house. I release her from her chains, and set her free.'"

Emily hesitated for a moment, feeling a sense of fear wash over her. She had never done anything like this before. But then, she thought of Elizabeth, and all the years she had spent trapped within the walls of the haunted house. She knew that she had to try.

She picked up the candle, feeling its weight in her hand. As she lit it, the room filled with a warm glow. Emily closed her eyes, feeling a sense of calm wash over her. She repeated the words Elizabeth had given her, feeling a sense of power as she spoke them aloud.Emily felt a weight lifted off her shoulders, and smiled contentedly.

Suddenly, there was a loud crash from outside the room. Emily opened her eyes, and saw that the door had slammed shut. She could hear the other spirits in the house, howling with rage.

But then, she heard something else. It was a sound like wind chimes, tinkling softly in the darkness. Emily looked at Elizabeth, and saw that the ghostly woman was smiling.

"You did it," Elizabeth said. "The curse has been broken."

Emily felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had done it. She had helped Elizabeth escape from the haunted house.

As she walked out of the room, Emily saw that the other spirits had vanished. The house was still and quiet, and she could feel a sense of peace settling over it.

She walked outside, feeling the warmth of the sun on her face. She looked back at the haunted house, and saw that it was no longer haunted. It was just a house, like any other.

Emily smiled, feeling a sense of pride in what she had accomplished. She had helped a ghost find peace, and in doing so, she had found a sense of peace herself.
