The Green Serpents

The blaring alarms continued to punctuate the air, adding to the heightened tension that filled the space. Emiko found herself assigned to a squad of officers responsible for patrol rotations, ensuring the security and surveillance of the Green Serpents' stronghold. As she joined the group, she knew that altering the officers' schedule for patrolling the surveillance area would be a risky move, but it was necessary to gather critical information and gain access to restricted areas. She needed to be part of that rotation, and she had to act quickly and tactfully to make it happen.

Opportunity would present itself as Emiko realized that an officer, who was originally assigned to the surveillance area, had called in sick for the next shift. If she could convince the other officers assigned to the area, to swap shifts with her, she would be able to insert herself into the surveillance rotation seamlessly.

With her plan in mind, Emiko knew she had to approach the situation delicately, as any sign of suspicion or hesitation could raise red flags. Emiko joined the conversation, making small talk and gauging the officers' moods. She subtly steered the conversation toward their upcoming shifts, careful to sound casual but interested. Emiko seized the moment, injecting a note of enthusiasm into her voice. "Well, you know what? I wouldn't mind helping out. I've got some experience with surveillance, and it would give me a chance to contribute more to the team."

The officer approached Emiko with a triumphant smile. "I talked to the shift manager, and they agreed to the swap.” Emiko can’t help but let out a smile as she turns her back.

Emiko scanned the room for a suitable officer to partner with, someone who would be less suspicious of her intentions. Her eyes fell upon a dedicated but somewhat gullible officer known for being easily distracted. Emiko skilfully manipulated the conversation, subtly guiding the Officer's attention away from her surroundings. Seizing the opportune moment, Emiko swiftly struck the Officer’s pressure point, rendering her unconscious. She gently lowered her to the ground, ensuring she would not raise any suspicion. The other officers in the vicinity remained unaware, their attention still focused on their respective tasks.

Emiko's footsteps fell silent as she moved stealthily towards the small group of officers stationed on the other side of the facility. Approaching the group, Emiko wore a mask of urgency and concern, her voice laced with a hint of desperation. She weaved a tale of a potential breach in security, carefully chosen words that piqued the officers' curiosity and made them receptive to her fabricated story.

The officer closest to Emiko, furrowed their brow and questioned her: "What do you mean, a breach in security? We haven't received any alerts."

Emiko maintained her calm composure, masking any signs of deceit. "I just received a coded message from central command. There are reports of unauthorized access in this area. We need to secure the premises immediately."

The officer next to her, visibly concerned, glanced around at their fellow officers. "Did you all hear that? We need to take this seriously."

Emiko's fabricated story had struck a chord with the officers, their attention now fully on her. She seized the opportunity, subtly manipulating their focus to her advantage.

With a sense of urgency, she continued, "I'll need each of you to verify your identities and follow me to the surveillance room. We need to conduct a thorough inspection and ensure no one has tampered with the monitoring systems." The officers exchanged glances, a mix of concern and determination etched on their faces. They understood the gravity of the situation and the need for immediate action.
