In the forest of Eleayr, a seed sprouted and grew. It looked like any other until the day it glowed under the moon.

The flower bloomed and burned so bright that not even the darkness could bear its light.

For the flower gave one power to overcome the darkness of the night.

When the traveler came and took the flower's life, the stars fell and burned everything in sight.

For the traveler to conquer darkness, he had to embrace despair.

And when the forest regrew, it was the traveler who glowed in the forest of Eleayr.

I enjoyed this short story. I appreciate the line: "For the traveler to conquer darkness, he had to embrace despair." True statement.
