The sun lies discarded on the road. As if they were a piece of trash tossed out of a moving vehicle.

Its rays flow onto the pavement like spilled golden paint, blinding those who stare for too long.

What would cause the sun to fall from its mantle in the sky? What has the power to banish it?

Did the sun have enemies who finally won the battle? Or was this by their own free will?

Night starts taking control, the stars glittering like jewels in a treasure chest, streaks occasionally marking the almost black canvas.

The air grows cooler, and nocturnal animals rise from their nests and dens, probably curious why it’s dark now.

It is a wondrous sight to behold, but one question remains:

Will the sun rise again?
