The Enigmatic Aquatic Union
A Tale of Love, Loss, and the Watery Depths

Beneath the verdant canopy near a serene lakeside,
A mystical creature rested, weaving garments with pride.
A coat of emerald hue and boots ablaze in crimson fire,
Atop his head, a jovial cap, a whimsical attire.
"Illuminate, moonlight, illuminate bright!
Tomorrow, she shall be my heart's delight.
A splendid human companion to share my existence,
In eternal love, a union of boundless persistence."
And as the night unfolded, a mother's dream unfurled,
A vision of her daughter, amidst water she twirled.
A gown of froth adorned her form with grace,
Pearls of sorrow adorned her neckline's embrace.
Yet, within the frothy ensemble, sorrow had its place,
Madness gleamed in her eyes, a haunting trace.
The pearls, mere crystallized tears of despair,
Beauty submerged in lakes of fear, a woeful affair.
With the break of dawn, the daughter arose,
A basket filled with garments, her purpose she chose.
"I'll cleanse these in the lake," she declared,
A plea from her mother, a heart that cared.
The dream recounted, of perils in the stream,
Yet, the daughter, enticed by frothy allure, a gleam.
Assured not to succumb to the water's call,
A pledge made as she approached the thrall.
Beside the lake, her labor commenced,
Garments washed, a cherished shirt enhanced.
But then, the waters stirred and foamed,
The aquatic entity seized her cloth, a fate foredoomed.
Into watery depths, he led her with a pull,
Herbs bestowed, slumber's grasp in full.
Marriage, officiated with crabs and aquatic kin,
Seaweed feasted upon, as guests and kin.
Awakening to motherhood, the girl's child was mild,
Green-haired, red-eyed, a peculiar but gentle child.
Yet, each night, the girl wept in silent sorrow,
Aching for family lost, a bleak tomorrow.
For Mother, Father, and Brother, she yearned,
Wishing their eyes upon her child could be discerned.
Preferable a grave's embrace than servitude to the monster's decree,
A fervent wish for liberation, desperate and free.
With her child embraced, a wish she cast,
A yearning for his escape from the aquatic vast.
Away from crabs, fish, and the shadowed abyss,
The boy, the sole remnant of her marital bliss.
Her tasks entailed cooking, cleaning, and dance,
Enslaving souls in cups, a sinister circumstance.
Brine-infused, he consumed the captured breath,
A plea for release, denied, entwined in death.
Begging to depart, a hundred pleas she made,
To glimpse her mother, in the sun or shade.
Yet, the monster, unyielding in his dominion,
Deaf to pleas, resisting any benign opinion.
"Destroy me, render me stone and bone!
Consume my essence, let me not bemoan!
Transform me into crustaceans and fish!
Obliterate my heart, fulfill this wish!"
The monster, distressed by his bride's lament,
Her agony too much, a sentiment.
"Alright," he sighed, granting one day's reprieve,
Yet, stringent rules, three, she must not deceive.
"No embrace, not even your maternal tie,
Your son remains, a hostage, under sky.
Return swiftly before the midnight chime,
Or dire consequences in the abyss of time."
Understanding the pact, the girl and her son,
Parted ways for a day, the clock begun.
Reunion with her mother, emotions overflowed,
Love, devoid of touch, an anomaly bestowed.
Throughout the day, they wept, laughed, and sung,
Ignoring the bell's toll, where love had stung.
Yet, when the chimes fell silent, the monster's plea,
Echoed through the door, a relentless decree.
"Wife! Return to me, my evening repast!
Time's essence drained, the moment surpassed!"
The daughter hesitated, urged to depart,
Yet, mother dearest clung to her with a determined heart.
"Ignore the beast, stay a while more,
An extra hour on land's cherished floor!"
Still, the chimes withheld their sonorous song,
The monster's pounding persisted, strong.
"Wife! The day's demise, heed my call!
Prepare my feast, heed my call!"
Sobbing, torn between duty and maternal plea,
The daughter's resolve faltered, her heart's decree.
Yet, mother dearest gripped her sleeve,
"Resist the beast, just an hour's reprieve!"
Persisting echoes, the monster's threat resounded,
The daughter's pleas and her mother's love compounded.
"What happened to my gentle wife?
Return or I'll end our child's life!"
Desperation echoed, a plea to sway,
Mother dearest affirmed, "His words betray!"
Then, lightning cracked, and rain cascaded,
The daughter's scream, in pain, it faded.
Through the torrent, tears of anguish fell,
Silencing everything, an unearthly spell.
Morning unveiled a somber scene,
Blood's swirl near the door, a tragedy obscene.
For a body, salt formed the core,
Seaweed for hair, rubies for eyes to explore.
A heartless existence in aquatic realms,
Lady's tears transmuted, a necklace of pearls overwhelms.
Mother's grief, encapsulated in froth's dance,
A tale of tragedy, an aquatic romance.
