Ciara and Aris were sisters; daughters of Landros, the Strong.

As family, the two sisters were very different from one another; and couldn't have been further apart from their father. Ciara moved as swiftly and quietly as the flowing waters along the ground; Aris could soar through the skies as though the wind carried her. Neither of the sisters could match their father in strength; and their father, stoic, strong, and impenetrable in his movements, was not nearly as sly and sneaky as his daughters. Theirs was a family affair where the God of Strength vowed to protect his daughters; and his daughters, now in their teenage years, schemed to sneak about in all of their silence.

It was one night during one of the sisters' excursions that they met Solaris, the Boy-God of the Golden Sun. His body naturally glowed and glistened with the light; and, just as naturally, attracted the attention of any unattached female in his presence. The two sisters were no different in Solaris's presence, though through no fault of any parties.

Ciara and Aris, once united under the cause of sisterhood in anything that they did, were now at odds with one another over one man. Aris, the first born of the girls, was the first to approach Solaris. Ciara, however, took that opportunity to dampen her spirits during the pair's alone time. Ciara's time was next with Solaris; and Aris took that opportunity drive up such a wind as to make any conversation impossible.

The antics had caused Solaris to depart, leaving the sisters empty-hearted to return to their home at war with one another.

Landros would not hear of interpersonal warfare in his own home. Solaris, the Sun, would never be with either of his daughters on his watch. As for the two sisters, they were split between Ciara of the Sea and Aris of the Sky. Their bitter rivalry was forever divided by Landros of the Earth. And Solaris the Sun; he graced the sky and seas in equal parts; yet he could never claim either of their hearts...
