The Devil's Quest

The final test is over. Rishi has enough time. So when her parents asked her to visit her aunt’s home, Rishi agreed. He had two things in mind. He had never seen a forest near the city and would meet his cousin his brother De Manish there after a long time. Manish arrived in Calcutta three years ago.

Her parents also planned to go with her. They started on May 2. They arrived at Jaynagar station. It was 12-30 pm now. Although the channel name was Jaynagar, there was nothing called ‘Nagar’. It was a remote village station, thinks Rishi. They left the station. The chariot was waiting for them. They knew that Manish’s father’s Jeep was damaged. So his father had arranged for a bull cart. Here there were no other options. Rishi saw this kind of physical car for the first time. Earlier, Rishi had probably seen Bullock’s car on film or the History Channel, but he could not remember. His father told him to get in the carriage, “The 4 to 5-hour trek through the forest, we have to get there before sunset”. The bull’s chariot began.

The road was narrow, but the scenery was breathtaking. Tall salt trees stand in a spectacular sequence. The forest has its beauty as if the artist had painted all the fabric in green. They enjoyed the beauty of nature and the fresh air of the forest. They could not remember how three hours had passed. They have almost reached their destination. It’s only half an hour now. Rishi saw a large old building, and although the wild vegetation had grown since the cracks in the building, bricks were also visible. Rishi understood it to be a full house, built many years ago. He told his mother, “In a day or two we will all visit this building.” Before his mother could respond, Budan Uncle, the driver, stopped him from going. “It’s a haunted location.” Rishi remained silent, but his interest was piqued. The light was setting, and the birds were beginning to return. Except in the desert, Rishi wondered he hadn’t seen birds in Calcutta in years. They emerged afterwards.

At the end of the forest only, Manish and his parents live in the state sector. There are 2 or 3 more government houses, after which the city begins. He saw his uncle, aunt and Manish standing in the doorway.

There is no electricity here. So, no TV. There is only a radio. However, Rishi was not upset, and he did not regret coming here. Her parents had visited the area many times but for Rishi, it was the first time. Therefore, my uncle and aunt were very careful when he felt uncomfortable. Dinner is over, it’s time to go to bed now. It is only 9 p.m. In this city, this is the norm. Although her uncle and aunt are the last to go to dinner. The whole village starts sleeping early.

Manish and Rishi were sharing a room, even though another room was empty. But they both wanted this arrangement.

Manish is a college student and three years older than Rishi. Manish is a very outstanding student, earning a degree in Engineering. But he chose to study physics. Manish and Shayan engage in conversation. However, Manish showed no interest when Rishi inquired about the dilapidated building. He asked Rishi to go to bed.

The next day Manish himself told him, “Brother, it’s nothing. The building is 200 years old. It is home to owls, bats, pigeons and snakes now… No one goes there. The government must renovate the building and provide it for public use as hospitals. But who cares for the local people? “All right,” said Rishi. But what is the history of this building? “Manish replied,” At that time the Nawabs or Rajas built the building. It was their farmhouse. This structure is a testament to their state of the state, a state of oppression and a corrupt mind. The building has seen several murders, many suicides, plots, many serious crimes. There are many anecdotes and stories, many of which are false. Now the people of this area have been adding to the history of ghosts,

The atmosphere makes the story more complex and interesting. It’s a pleasure they love now ”. Rishi told her that he would like to go to that building. Manish said he could accompany her. But Rishi told her he would go alone.

“OK, but bring a torch and a wooden stick with you because there are reptiles,” Manish warned. But before that, take a trip to the valley. Get to know the individuals who live in the area. After that, you’re free to leave. But keep in mind that no one will let you down. You must depart without our caretakers’ consent and at night. But I’ll assist you in leaving our home. The 18-year-old is unafraid. As a result, Rishi eagerly consented.

The next day he walked around the valley. He noted that the local people are simple, honest and have a lot of respect and love for Manish and his family. He also enjoyed being with them. If he had not come, he would not have seen another greatness or a vision of life.

At night, the old wall clock rang three times. It is 3 in the morning and everyone is fast asleep. Rishi came out of the house. Manish told her to come back in an hour or two as the local people woke up very early in the morning, and the building was only a 20-minute walk away. Rishi nodded.

As usual, there was no one on the way to the village. But the dogs just came out of nowhere and started barking. Maybe the dogs didn’t know him until now. But he didn’t care. It was a night. Clouds were moving in the sky. Manish had also given her an umbrella as well. Suddenly he enters the forest. It is now dark. Nothing was visible with a flashlight. This is his first time walking in the woods, that alone and at night. The squirrels came from one branch to another, and the rabbits crawled between the traps. Owls called their members.

The howl of a fox in the distance disturbs the peace of the forest. The variety of night sounds made the atmosphere nervous. He saw flies moving here and there. After a while, he reached near the uninhabited building. He was a long time away. He felt that someone was following him. He looked back. He could see no one. He started walking. He also heard the noise. From this, he saw that a pig was coming. Then he saw a widow dressed in white and standing at a distance. She is surprised. After walking for a few minutes he saw that it was nothing but a eucalyptus tree. She felt she was sweating. Now you reach just before the building. He tried to enter. He didn’t know where to go. You have chosen various methods of trial and error. In doing so he did but fell several times which led to cuts and scratches on his body. But she did not give up even though a great deal of fear was in her mind. After entering, he tried to see the whole building. He will have to solve the mystery if any. He smelled a strange smell. He heard someone whispering to each other. He tried to find a place where that strange smell or whispering would come. He could not. It was also impossible in a building like this and that and at night.

Suddenly, a violent storm came up. The trees outside the building were shaking. Some trees fell, others bent down because of the strong wind. He felt something cold crawling on his feet. He was surprised to see that it was a black snake. He heard a cry but did not see the cat. Some bats flew over his head. The doors and windows, which were still attached to the building, began to open and close with strange sounds as if they were about to fall on him. It looked as if the building was shaking. It could not withstand this powerful storm. Now, Rishi was so frightened and frightened, he could no longer get out and he could not stay there; Thunderstorms erupted outside the building, respectively and with lightning. In the twinkling of an eye, he felt great darkness. It turned out that someone or something was pulling him back, death was just a few steps ahead. He could not stand it. He fell to the ground. He fainted.

Now Rishi is not in the present world, he was 100, 200 or 300 years back. He could see the girls dancing. He heard the sound of ghungroo. On the other hand, he heard the ladies screaming for help and the cruel people just laughed. They asked a man to throw the woman into a pit of death. In front of his eyes, he saw that the men were enjoying themselves. After they got drunk they started degrading the dignity of women. One of the women tried to seduce them. But they did not listen. He then set himself on fire. He asked the girl not to do that. But the young woman chose to die before the shame and insults. It all came before his eyes one by one like a movie. So far he was just a spectator but he thought his time had come. He has to do something. He intervened and tried to control the situation. He began by warning them, “I will not leave you. I will inform the Police. The policeman is a friend of Manish’s father. Whoever you are, you should be punished. I will save all people from you. ”

Suddenly, he heard, ‘Rishi’. The rays of the morning sun and the water running down his head rejuvenated his senses. He saw Manish standing next to his head. She saw that Manish was coming out of mental trauma as Manish was breathing the air of unhealthiness.

“Let’s go home, in time to punish the perpetrators … If it is too late, we will be caught by the Police if we were not at home at night.” They started walking. Rishi asked “what happened? How are you? “Manish,” he said, “nothing, it’s the result of watching a lot of horror movies and believing in wildlife. No problem. It is possible. It was getting late. I should have come and I should have come ”. Rishi couldn’t find anything. Now, they just arrived in front of their house.
