The Devil's Kiss 1
The Mystery of the Two Twin Sisters

It all begins with a crime. At Marion's birth, her twin sister is declared dead. In reality, Mariona is delivered to the Lodge to become a "ghost" without a civil existence. In these shadow camps, she is nothing but simple laboratory livestock, anonymous flesh used as a breeder for the lodge's rituals, before being shaped to become their most lethal weapon.
Inspired by the confessions of a satanist leader, this story lifts the veil on a global elite: doctors, politicians, and judges who transform human beings into tools of pleasure and death. But destiny flips when Marion's boyfriend discovers this buried secret. Marion, a woman with a devastating libido and an insatiable desire, finds herself facing the mirror of her own blood: Mariona, her double, a block of cold marble, a soul anesthetized by years of abuse and conditioning.
It is the clash of two worlds: on one side, a burning and free sensuality; on the other, a frigidity forced by horror. Between the hunt for this omnipresent lodge and the carnal temptations that punctuate their quest, Marion will have to awaken the woman beneath the machine. A total immersion into a hell where humiliation is a law, and where love is the only spice capable of breaking the chains of slavery.
Carl and Sarah are two high-ranking Interpol officials investigating the activities of cults established in Australia. Sarah falls victim to a road accident, leaving Carl in despair. Convinced that it is not an accident, he continues his investigation. He undoubtedly thought it was the result of his professional distortion as an investigator. While waiting for more evidence or simply to gain some perspective, he decided to visit his in-laws, who lived near Sydney, for about ten days. It was a soothing moment for him, but also morally very hard to be with them without her by his side.
They could not help but return to the circumstances of the tragedy, the in-laws being just as doubtful as he was. For his return trip, his father-in-law, a former airline pilot for Qantas, had him upgraded. During the flight, he made the acquaintance of a beautiful flight attendant, seduced by this young woman named Marion who possessed blue eyes of a unique depth.
Another flight attendant, unknown to her colleagues, made contact with him, informing him of an imminent danger regarding his previous contact with Marion. He kept in touch with both flight attendants and invited Marion upon his arrival in Paris, a city with which he formed intimate relations. One evening while out together in a club, he saw for the second time this second flight attendant named Myriam, who wanted to see him urgently. She indicated that her presence was solely for the purpose of ensuring his safety, without however disclosing the name of the organization to which she belonged.
She directed all suspicion toward Marion while she was investigating the supposed existence of a twin sister, her parents having succumbed during the explosion of their boat off the coast of Australia. Myriam was an agent infiltrated by the cult in order to retrieve top-secret information classified as "defense secret" to which only Carl had access. With Carl reopening the investigation into the disappearance of his wife, he put certain members of the cult in Europe in danger. Marion's sister was launched on their trail in order to eliminate these threats. The cult planned, at the end of the mission of "Mariona", Marion's sister who possessed no civil existence in the eyes of the law, to take her place by eliminating her.
The flights of Marion, temporarily employed by a European national airline, corresponded to the destinations where the members of the cult were found lifeless. Carl suspected Marion of being the author of these crimes, but a few details made him doubt. Marion confessed to being on the trail of this sister in order to see what she looked like and to engage in a dialogue with her, an action that led nowhere. She was helped by an Australian friend working in a clinic where, by pure chance, she discovered a file bearing the photo of Marion, her best friend, under the name "Mariona 16".
Carl divided himself between the charms of Myriam and those of Marion upon his return from travels. She possessed a birthmark on the upper part of her tanned thigh that amused Carl, since Marion spent her time under the sun. It was while investigating once again in Australia that he discovered, at his in-laws' house, a close link between Sarah, his late wife, and Marion. He suspected this sister of having received the mission to eliminate Marion's parents, unaware that they were her biological parents, in order to muddy the waters and allow Mariona to recover the sum paid by the insurance to her sister after taking her place.
Information was leaking from Carl's services. By setting a trap, he noticed that his close collaborator was also a mole in the service of the cult.
Leaving Myriam momentarily, he returned home to welcome Marion back. He was delighted to see her and found her behavior strange, much more distant. Caressing her birthmark and finding her quite pale, he learned that she had to leave again.
It was after her departure that a question came to his mind that had not occurred to him before, an essential point so big that he missed it. Marion was fully tanned; how was it possible that in the span of two days this tan had completely disappeared? This reflection also corroborated her distant behavior during her short stay.
The one who lay in his bed beside him was not Marion, but Mariona, her twin sister! He understood quickly when Marion returned with her tan that he had escaped the worst, because her mission was to eliminate them both.
He had gone to London with Myriam under a false identity, invited to a ritual ceremony, with Myriam providing the capes and masks copied and made by a French artisan. Carl had the presence of mind to analyze the capes, revealing that the sewing thread was not a French product, but well and truly originated from Australia. Myriam was therefore a double agent. He organized a confrontation with Marion and Myriam. Leaving doubt hanging over Marion, the latter, mad with rage, pulled out Carl's revolver that she had put in her bag the day before, threatening to end her days if he still doubted her. Demonstrating his theory and his evidence, Myriam was confronted with the truth and confessed, while she screwed a silencer onto the end of her weapon, that her goal was to obtain all the information required by the cult before eliminating him. Marion pulled the trigger of the revolver and seriously wounded Myriam before she could fire. She was hospitalized in serious condition.
A few days later, Carl went to her bedside, the young woman being guarded by the police. She confessed to him that she had no choice and that her own turn would come quickly. She added posthumously that she had placed a box at her home containing all the evidence and files of all the names involved. Carl went there immediately with Marion and, despite the forced door, found the hiding place. Analyzing the files for part of the night, his close collaborator informed him that Myriam had died at the hospital a few hours later following potassium chloride poisoning. Carl went there and summoned the sentry on guard, who confirmed having seen nothing special apart from the nurse bringing her medication, a nurse he could recognize solely by her eyes. Carl's blood ran cold: the sentry confirmed to him that this nurse possessed eyes of an intense and deep blue, the likes of which he had never seen before. Mariona had moved quickly into action...
Going to a store in the morning to do some shopping, he left Marion at the apartment. A few minutes later, someone broke into his home, neutralizing Marion. She found herself for the first time face-to-face with her twin sister. Armed, she immobilized her in the bedroom and gagged her. Carl entered and was reassured to see Marion from behind in shorts at the window, thinking he had been the victim of a terrible nightmare. Suddenly, his eyes plunged to her white thighs and he drew his weapon at the speed of light. The white skin did not deceive him twice.
Mariona gave a full recorded confession, indicating that she had come to execute her contract, but that the magazine of her pistol was empty. Jean-Paul, Carl's assistant, picked up the weapon and noted that there were no bullets in it. During her confession, she told Carl of her intention to kill herself by her own means at the end of the hearing, unable to bear the truth about the identity of the people she was ordered to eliminate.
An ending full of emotion created by the deep remorse of a killing machine who realized that her heart was still very much alive. After tears and a moving dialogue between the two sisters, Mariona accepted that her hollow tooth be removed. Was it normal or logical to punish a machine by locking her up until the end of her days? A being who knew nothing of life other than what she was ordered to do?
Carl spared her a heavy judicial procedure and its consequences. She was placed in a psychiatric rehabilitation section for two years. This gave her the time to devote herself to writing her life story.
She remained surrounded by her sister and Carl until her release.
