The Crystal Kingdom

Chapter One

Duskfront, Udorst, 1st, 793

I was slithering through my home town made from bamboo stone and ebony iron walls. I am a dracaenae dragon kin hybrid. My mother is a dracaenae while my father is a dragon kin. I suddenly bumped into someone and fell to my knees. When I looked up I saw a breathtaking naga with his long white hair, red eyes, white tail and dressed in a really expensive tunic. He is prince Kritar of Harutia the land we are in right now. I got and bowed while saying.

"I'm so sorry your majesty I didn't mean to bump into you." I said softly in my silvery voice. I felt our soulbond snapping in place. I felt clawed hands gently grab my chin and lift them to meet his eyes.

"It's okay little one I am not mad at you I could tell you were thinking hard on something. Will you please tell me what it is?" he asked nicely.

"I was thinking about what to make next in my clothing and cosmetics line that I have." I told him. "I see well why don't you come with me and have some lunch while you take a break hm?" he asked but I could tell it was an order and so holding back a whimper I obeyed. We went to the castle and I got introduced to Empress Alia and her Royal consort Delika. I bowed to both of them and introduced myself as Lady Alexandria daughter of Lord and Lady Alterial.

The Empress and her Royal consort greeted me warmly and welcomed me into their family. I wanted to cry as my own parents never did any of that nor would they care now.

I was asked to stay in the palace while me and Kritar got to know each other and for me to learn the duties of a royal consort. I agreed and was escorted by guards and Kritar in going home and grabbing my things. Once i was done grabbing my things I turned to Kritar just as my mother came up behind me and smacked me on the head. I fell down to the ground and heard my soulmate growl in anger as he ordered the guards to imprison my parents while he grabbed me and rushed out of my parents home.

When I regained consciousness I could feel my soulmates dark anger. I looked over and saw my soulmate reading my medical file that wasn't tampered with. "Kritar are you mad at me?" I asked quietly. "No little one I'm not mad at you. I'm pissed off at your parents and can't wait until they get punished. I can see now why you agreed to stay here so quickly." He helped me up and got me some pork blood for me to drink.

"Thank you." I whispered to him knowing he would hear it. "You are welcome little one. I don't think it's something you should thank me for though little one you are my soulmate after all and I will protect you in any way I can." He gently told me then kissed me on my forehead. I purred in happiness. The doctor then came in and let me go since I am now fully healed. I was walked to my room to get ready not only for the day but also so I could be there when my parents got punished.

I got dressed in a four foot pastel blue dress with my black long hair in a braided bun, and with my black tail shining I was ready to face my abusers.
