An happy elephant family

In the heart of a lush forest, on top of a mighty hill, lived a happy elephant family. There was Mommy Elephant, Daddy Elephant, and their playful baby elephant, Ellie. Every day, they would explore the wonders of the forest together.

However, the Daddy Elephant always warned Ellie, "My dear Ellie! You got to listen to me. I've heard that there is a cunning and fierce cheetah lurking in the woods down the hill. So you should never venture down this hill."

"Will the cheetah eat me, Dad?", asked the innocent baby elephant.

"Yes, my baby. If it finds you alone, it'll make a meal of you."

"Okay dad. I'll never go down the hill alone.", said Ellie and hugged his dad.

The days passed by. One sunny morning, Mommy and Daddy elephants had to go out to the town on some errands. Ellie was playing alone with a colorful ball. Unfortunately, he accidentally let the ball roll down the hill. The ball bounced and tumbled, disappearing into the dense foliage below. Ellie's heart sank as he watched it vanish, and the desire to retrieve his favorite toy overwhelmed him. Ignoring his parents' warning, Ellie decided to follow the ball down the hill, determined to get it back.

As Ellie ventured down the hill, the forest became unfamiliar and filled with strange sounds. Though he found his ball, he couldn't feel happy as the fear took over him. Amidst all the strange sounds, he finally heard it - the cheetah's growl. Ellie, with the fearful eyes, looked at the direction of sound. Before long, the cunning cheetah spotted the little elephant and sprang into action, chasing Ellie through the trees.

Back on the hill, Mommy and Daddy elephants came back as they decided not to leave their kid alone in the woods. Mommy Elephant noticed Ellie's absence and became worried. She quickly alerted Daddy Elephant, who immediately knew what had happened.

Meanwhile, Ellie was doing his best to outrun the cheetah, but his little legs couldn't match the cheetah's speed. When the cheetah was just a few feet away, Ellie fell down and lost all his hope. Cheetah stopped and smiled at Ellie cruelly. As the death was growling right in front of his eyes, Ellie realized his mistake. He said to himself, "I should have listened to my parents". But, was it too late?

When the cheetah was about to pounce on him, Ellie heard the familiar trumpet of his daddy. With renewed hope, he quickly looked around for his father. The cheetah had already sprung into action and he was half way in the air. The daddy elephant suddenly appeared from the middle of the trees by the side and smacked the pouncing cheetah badly with his trunk. The cheetah flew away and fell over a tree. It took few seconds for him to realize what has just happened. Then he slinked away into the forest, knowing he had met his match. Ellie hugged his dad tightly, grateful for his rescue.

From that day on, Ellie never wandered down the hill alone again. He understood the importance of listening to his parents' advice and the danger that could await him in the unknown. The family of elephants stayed together, exploring the forest as a team, ensuring that Ellie would always be safe.

Moral: The story of Ellie, the brave little elephant, teaches us the value of listening to the wisdom of our parents.
