The Blue and Buff Standard
Police anticipate a heist of the state’s colors.
Reports flew like birds. The investigators positioned themselves to prepare for an attack on the State Capitol building in Dover, Delaware. No, they weren’t oppressing the government or planning a riot. Instead, these nefarious characters sought to claim the colors, the flag of Delaware.
Poitier Colmes, the color of pecans, looked at the digital layout of the building. Lavernica Preslow, studied the timing. She was the color of cocoa butter. And the third wheel to this fine tuned law enforcement bike was Geston Vale. He specialized in machine learning and robotics. He was as black as the street.
“What we have to do is train our focus on the leader—her, Kila Harper,” Colmes pointed out. Lavernica’s timing devices engaged. Just as she was about to adjust the clocks, Vale’s machine learning components overturned Colmes’ layout and Lavernica’s timing mechanism. Vale shocked them both as he sent out messages to his cohorts.
He used Lavernica’s timing mechanisms to quickly slip in and take the blue and buff standard. He hadn’t thought about the fourth wheel, Rostand Gipp. He walked out from the rear of the room, gun drawn.
“You’ve gone too far, Geston,” he announced.
Then, Vale raised his hands upward.
