The Blessing Of Education
Drabble Drop : Harm
“Welcome, I’d like to introduce you to a young man, whose aim is to educate us and highlight how we cause harm to our beautiful planet by giving us more sustainable options. Please welcome Guy Allen.”
“Thank you Sir.
Hello, I’m a twelve year old planet carer, here to introduce a new range of ‘paper’ plates, if you will.
This range is made from recycled plastic but is now fully compostable. Yes Sir, do you have a question,” he points to an elderly gentleman.
“I want to say a huge thank you young man, you’re a credit to your parents.”
I was challenged to write a drabble of the word ‘harm'.
Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :
A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
