It was a quiet and hot summer day. The man was happy to be going home after work, as he had been every day for some time...

His wife was waiting for him at home every day. The poor woman was a little absent-minded. That didn't change after the greatest gift a woman could ever receive in her life. It didn't make her more responsible.

He entered the gate happily. The gate of the fence of their little house. They weren't rich, but they were happy. And they were even happier since they had found their greatest treasure.

The man approached the door of the house to greet his most treasured possession, the one he worked so hard for every day.

Stopping at the door, a bad feeling came over him. He looked to his right, in the hot sunshine of the courtyard, he saw the object they used to keep their most treasured possession in, the one that kept it safe from danger.

As he moved closer, a terrible fear struck him. He picked up the treasure and started to run. Out of the gate, across the street where they had lived so happily since a few months.

He ran, ran with the treasure in his arms. He had never run so fast before. He felt no fatigue, he felt nothing but the need to reach help as quickly as possible.

He ran and ran. The people who met him saw terrible desperation on his face. There must be some great treasure in his arms, they thought. He just ran and ran and ran.

Time passes so slowly, the goal so far away. The faster he runs, the further away he feels. Time just goes by. You cannot beat time, you cannot overtake time, no matter how fast you run. That's what he had in mind.

It is not lost. Just run! You beat time! You beat everything today! Just run, just run for your treasure. Run for the meaning of your life!

The streets are backed up. The goal finally stopped receding, and time seemed to slow down again.

Once inside the huge building, the corridors were again like streets before him. He knew where he had to go. He knew exactly the door. There were people standing in the corridors. "Out of my way!" He shouted. Everyone immediately moved aside.

He reached the door, he wanted to break in. To the constant banging, the door finally opened. A guy in white clothes appeared, behind him more people, just like him in white clothes. As soon as they saw the "treasure", they took it from the man, who simply said, "Help me! I found in the hot sun!"

We'll do our best! Wait out here, please! Then the door closed with the man's most precious treasure behind it.

The wait was harder still, hope battling with doubt in his heart. Time passed so slowly now. It was as if it had stopped. It will work! Everything will be all right! I got here quickly. I lost no time. You have to make it!

When will the door open? Why won't the door open? I've done everything I could. I haven't lost any time. You must succeed!

Finally the door is slowly opening and the man in white appears again. The medical specialist! He's saved many lives. With a wealth of experience.

Expressionless face. Deep sigh. And then the the doctor breaks the silence.

"I'm terribly sorry, but we couldn't save your little son."
